Chavez: Will Peace Protesters Oppose Socialist Aggression?

User avatar
<OUT_OF_KARAKTER>

Image

Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez is threatening to invade neighboring Colombia after he gave $300 million to murderous drug-trafficking Marxist rebels. On March 15-19 2008, the international Left is threatening to hold their annual "anti-war" rallies. Will they condemn the fascistic regime of Hugo Chavez?

Not likely. Progressives don't oppose wars started by socialist dictators. Their idea of "peace" was best expressed by Karl Marx: "Peace is the absence of opposition to socialism."
<br>For more on the coming protests see here >>

User avatar
Yep, the only "bad" wars are the wars that The Party opposes. I expect that the "anti-war" American left will rationalize any action taken by Chavez, even if he launches full scale conquest of northern South America and then Central America. The only protests will be to demand that the US stays out of it. This is the flippin' '80s all over again but with more money to back it up and higher stakes this time.

User avatar
I bet Chavez will use this war to expand his powers as dictator and will do it under the guise of "Colombian terrorism". Boy, would that be funny! It will also be amusing to see what kind of excuses the American Left -- who has accussed W. of doing the very same thing -- can come up with now that their boy is really the goose-stepping totalitarian subverting his country's constitution.

War with Colombian terrorist? NOT IN MY NAME!

I wonder what Sean Penn's reaction will be to Chavez's Imperial War for Blood and Obamacaine?

Oh Comrade -

After all this time you still don't get it!!! Being a rabid leftist means never having to apologize - or be consistent.

You really need to enroll in a taxpayer-subsidized leftist re-education center (aka Hahvahd, UC-Berkeley/Santa Cruz/Irvine, Columbia, etc.). There, they'll explain to you why anyone who doesn't think like them is a racist, warmongering, homophobic, environmentally-destructive, kitten-abusing, knuckle-dragging neanderthol!!!

Viva le revolution (of America's Founders in their graves...)!!!

User avatar
Comrade Chavez is a man of peace, I know this because he said so himself.
President Hugo Chavez portrayed himself as a man of peace Wednesday, even as he moved tanks and soldiers to the Colombian border in a growing crisis set off by Colombia's weekend attack on leftist rebels hiding in Ecuadorean territory.

Chavez blamed the crisis on the U.S. "empire and its lackeys" -- Colombia's conservative government -- saying they pose a constant threat of war in the region, not Venezuela or Ecuador. "We are peace. We are the path to peace," the leftist leader said in a televised speech.

User avatar
This came today from a comrade named Bryan McMillin who has just discovered the Cube. I think I speak for the entire collective when I say that he should join the Party and start posting more regularly.

Join us, Comrade McMillin! Join the collective and free yourself from the shackles of capitalism, freedom and personal-responsibility! If you refuse I am afraid the collective will have no choice but to join you.

I find it amusing that the college professors today still use the same old tired "proof" on my children that they used on me in 1971. It goes like this:
"Well everyone KNOWS that.....(insert bullshit here)
Examples:
"Well everyone KNOWS that there is no such thing as God."
"Well everyone KNOWS that gay people are born that way."
"Well everyone KNOWS that Communism is a better system."
"Well everyone KNOWS that the Republicans are a bunch of unfeeling, insensitive, selfish, intolerant, capitalist war-mongering pigs!"
etc.,etc.,etc.

Fear square,

You are of course correct, IF, the SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS happens to be POLITICALLY CORRECT! It therefore follows that Hollyweird is correct in showing in all their latest vomitus filled offerings only black female judges!

BECAUSE as EVERYONE knows, the SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS is that only the most minor of minorities make good judges! I.E. black women! Once they run that into the ground, they will start showing Muslim women that just happen to be quadrapalegic lesbian lepers as judges in all their new releases BECAUSE as EVERYONE knows the SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS (well, you get it)

Fear Comrade F-pig!

Don't you know that when many people agree on something it must be right? This is an absolutely valid proof of any fact - just take the scientific consensus on Global Warming as one example. Once the consensus is reached, the debate is over.

Thus, your list of korrekt statements above can be replaced with the following statements that would mean exactly the same:

"There is a scientific consensus that there is no such thing as God. The debate is over."
"There is a scientific consensus that Communism is a better system. The debate is over."
"There is a scientific consensus that the Republicans are a bunch of unfeeling, insensitive, selfish, intolerant, capitalist war-mongering pigs! The debate is over."

etc.,etc.,etc.

Sean Penn is a true beliver. He will no doubt take up one of his many privately owned firearms (he is a liberal so there is no hypocrisy) and join the special Amerikan's for Chavez brigade. Possibly with Danny Glubber. Heck they should make a movie about it, called Lenin's Weapon. If Chavez's rule is threatened in any way, he might not provide heating oil to people in Kennedy's district. This would be bad. We can't have our political truncheons compromised like that. If Chavez doesn't provide goodwill oil, even our side might start demanding we actually drill in Anwar. Fidel Rual Castro already has squatters rights for drilling off the coast of Florida.

Comrades, there is no such thing as Socialist aggression. Marxists and Muslims only offer legitimate resistance to oppression and occupation. If our legitimate demands are not met, we have the legitimate right to legitimate self-defense even if it means killing children who would one day have grown up to be oppressors and occupiers. In this case, Chavez is merely legitimately responding to Columbian oppression against the occupied Venezuelans. We must, in turn, offer our support to the legitimate heroic martyrs of FARC and of Venezuela.

Just what sort of Socialist Chicanery are you attempting to pull Zampolit? First I see you trying to hypnotize the Chairman into ThoughtCrime™ against the Empress by suggesting he support the Name That Can Not Be Named, which will prove to be of no effect to the Chairman. His mind is far too gold goal directed to be swayed by such amateur parlor tricks. Yet then you follow up by directing our new pure hearted prole to direct contributions to the Empress via the Chairman. I am sorry to see how my dear non-latin libertarian friends see collective, and inmediately assume the worst.

I am a libertarian, and i despise Chavez's economic policies, but the guy is right on this one.

The so-called "evidence" has been callously fabricated by the colombian government in order to deflect international criticism. (Iraq WMD anyone?)

That same 'mystery' laptop that somehow survived a precision air strike -which left scores of bodies unrecognizable- and the documents contained therein have been discredited by the secretary general of the OEA, and multiple calls to prove their authenticity with neutral experts have been rejected, even to scrutiny from opposition parties of Venezuela and Ecuador

I understand how we are not naturally inclined to believe a dictator, but at least this dictator is honest. I cannot say the same for the presindent of Colombia, who

-Lied to a head of state
-Recanted his story, not once, but THREE TIMES.
-Would attempt bombardment of a sovereing nation (say what you will about Chavez, but he hasnt attacked anyone)
-Would have a security chief previously indicted with links to drug trafficking to declare mystery evidence from a pulverized laptop
-"Confidential" documents, so unprofessionally made -likely due to the time constraint to produce evidence- that they revealed the 'confidential' name of the sources in page 1 of said document.

Comrade. Hehe, indeed i do see your point, and trust me, it was not an easy decision.

It may take me a stay in a Venezuelan gulag to reconsider, but for now, i will worry about our problems here.

I am aware of Chomsky's writings, and i define myself as more of a right-libertarian (the only tax i could ever support would be an inheritance tax, as a dead person, in my view, cannot have its liberty infringed upon). I believe in private property, but i also believe it is necessary to reverse decades of profiteering by the robber barons allied with the government opression machine. This of course, would be eventually unecessary.

I dont think that makes me a libertarian-socialist, does it?

Maybe i have seen too much suffering in latin america that it has spoiled the true libertarian in me *sigh*

Outside of the truth, that it is plain old fashioned thievery, what would be the government's justification for an inheritance tax? The money has already been taxed. No, that is just plain theft, pure and simple.

On the surface, one would gather that you are encouraging the prole to send in his contributions to the Empress via the Chairman, which you plan to direct to the Un Named One's campaign. But then I know that things are rarely as simple as they appear, so in true Collective Spirit, I demand my cut of the action.

Chicanery? Me? Naaah!!!! The Chainman's mind can indeed be programmed. It all depends on how much alcohol and other chemicals he has imbibed. Did you see the movie "The Manchurian Candidate"?.

I am willing to cut you in, if you find me some more PeopleSpeak™.

In case you were not aware, this humble Commissar, this loyal Party dog, was born and raised in the Home of the Fighting Bayou Bengal Tigers of LSU, and live in the shadows of this great city in the town of Denham Springs. Why, I remember as a young pup, being taken on a school trip just so we could see the tragic place of the Kingfish's assassination.... oh, I can't go on any longer...Pinkie, I need your scarf.....*snort*
With Russell absolutely. All of them. There were more than just Hank, Huey, Rose, George Russell, and Earl. There was Biddle and Rachael and Frank oh just a bunch more. Including Stephen.
Huey died before I was born. Stephen passed about three years ago.
Huey loved that Stadium. He ought to he built it on the backs of the Looweezanna taxpayers. Harumph. Huey was a consumate politician.

Well it's true, I have seen the Chairman change course at the drop of a dime... literally. But if he were to get word of me..... you say a cut eh?

Are you from the Glorious People's State of Louisiana Pravda? You certainly seem to know your Longs. But let's not talk bad about Tiger Stadium. If ever there was something worthwhile built on the backs of the people, well, that would be it.

Are you aware that New Orleans was turned down as a site for a Presidential campaign debate site supposedly because there was not enough infrastructure? We have had several Mardi Gras, hosted the Sugar Bowl, National Championship, and the NBA All Star game just the past few months. Yet Oxford Mississippi, home of Ole Miss for Lenin's sake, was chosen as a site. This is outrageous! Have you ever been to Oxford? No, of course not. Who has other than cow sex therapists and the like?

Where better for hope to sprout forth in the land of Johnny Reb and the Ole Miss Rebels.... Not Chocolatetown. Were all backward racists don't you know

Comrade Kalishnikov! What sort of beet vodka were you drinking when you created this? Hmmmm? Perhaps some time with the Peoples Shovel™ will clear your head. Did you think no one would notice the reflection on the table?

Did any one think I could let all these SEC powers go unanswered?

Over Auburn, perhaps.... but my Tigers will still rule! You will be assimilated!

Your ignorance and strict conformity to Party orthodoxy touches me and brings tears to my eyes. Your simple prole words are like poetry and your utter denunciation of all things counter-revolutionary bring harmony and balance to our broken and fractured Party. Comrades, Guardian of Pravda is an example of a good Comrade armed with the revolutionary fervor of a true Marxist-Stalinist Democrat and is a Comrade who should be seated on a glorious red pinnacle for all other Comrades to look up to and admire - that is until he is no longer useful and then summarily executed when we find a Comrade "prolier" than him.

Enjoy it while you can, Guardian of Pravda. The chairman used to say the same thing about me when I first arrived at the collective. [sniff] ...How things change.

Pardon my ignorant AU ass, but tell me again how many years it has been since the Tide rose in the Iron Bowl? (Although I must admire your faith in the glorious world of next Tuesday. )
