Ask yourself: 'Am I Worth Saving?'

Dear Masses,

As you are aware, Health Care is quite expensive. As a result, changes in the system are constantly required.

I regret to inform the infirm that TREATMENT IS NO LONGER A GIVEN. If you are ill, and wish to find out whether you will be allowed to seek treatment, please ask in this forum!

If you take it upon yourself to travel to an affiliate of the Global Front for Healthcare without proper authorization, you WILL NOT be treated.

As always, anyone who "jumps the line" and pays for a private clinic is beyond reproach and a "health care hog." Wait your turn like everybody else!

Komrade Fuku,

I presume that people of higher of equal status automatically have their authorization? If so, I need to have that messenger executed, for I have yet to recieve my papers.

A valid question Koz!

While all members of the collective are treated equally, certainly a Party Member with clearance may drop off his or her paperwork in person at the United Global Front offices. This is not "jumping the line." Rather, it conserves resources (no postage of the papers is required) and therefore is in the interest of the State. Just swing by the lounge on the second floor, past the wet-bar and next to the cigar room and we'll take care of you.

Will you be offering organ transplants to felons on death row?

What an absolutely wonderful question! The answer is quite complex!

Currently, the policy is that prisoner upkeep is of utmost import. Our blanket institution, the ACLU, had decreed as much (see this link):

The American Civil Liberties Union has sued the St. Louis-based health care provider for inmates at Mississippi's Parchman prison, alleging prisoners have been misdiagnosed and received inadequate treatment. "We're hoping that the lawsuit is going to make a big difference in conditions in Unit 32, which we really do think are so grossly inhumane as to amount to torture," said Margaret Winter, associate director of the National Prison Project of the ACLU.
However, things often change quite rapidly. I will cite this fine work in particular which is quite popular with the progressives in our fine party:

Doctors make decisions based on the good of the individual. When it comes to healthcare states must make policy based on what is good for the whole population.

I submit that not only is Oregon's health prioritization ethical, but that it may be unethical not to have some system that sets priorities for limited funds. As Governor Kitzhaber has said so often, we must decide both who and what. It must occasionally consider the health of the group before considering the health of the individual.

Well, of course this is the future! The "cult of the individual" only leads to wasted resources. At the point where rationing takes effect, I would suspect that transplants will be preferrentialy afforded to "the group" (prisoners) rather than private "individuals." After all, the way we treat our prisoners reflects what type of society we are. As wards of the state, prisoners MUST be preferentially kept healthy to prove our worthiness. In fact, I would suspect that patients on transplant lists will commit crimes in the future in order to go to prison for the excellent transplant care!

Sincerely,

Dr. Fuku ("Serving the masses' health care needs, one million at a time(TM)"

Dear Esteemed Colleague Dr. Fuku,

It's been a while, comrade. I hope your top-secret experiments are progressing well. Don't be a stranger. You're past due for a visit to Utopia Bay Beach Resort (UBBR)! Skylar Windsong says she misses you terribly. The Moureau's Meditation cottage will remain vacant until your return.

Yours in scientific socialism,
Dr. P

Ah my dear friend!

I am enjoying our beloved Europe. Did you know that euthanasia is the leading cause of death in Paris? Fabulous! I love France!

See you soon -- a bientot

Leonid

Most Honorable Docteur,

La France est magnifique pendant les mois d'automne, n'est-ce pas?

I didn't know that euthanasia is the leading cause of death in Paris; I thought it was mime gang violence! I kid, of course--mimes are one of France's greatest cultural treasures and fine people to boot.

Keep "knockin' 'em dead" with your exemplary work!

My Dear Doctor,
I do hope this doesn't mean my facelift will be postponed.

Hi Comrade Fuku.
Will the people in the gulags (To be constructed in Alaska) also benefit healthcare?

Dear Comrade Fuku
The lamps provided are most appreciated and the last trace of the gross excess of the past are now discarded, the cottage is filament free. The child seems to have taken a turn after smashing the curly bulb however and word sneaks thru the village of a mercury poison. The child gazes blankly since the incident with occasional vomitting. I have submitted the crime to the politburu as they have certified the cleanup and I now have been waived of wasteful malfeasance. Please advise for the sake of my only child.

Doktor Fuku, I have been lingering in the shadows while observing the fine works of the Party from the Kleveland,USSA. Recently I went to New York to engage in the glorious campaign to change. I met with the group and noticed the tobacco ration was small, as a group of new thinkers had to share a handrolled cigarette, the bourgeois capitalist pigs must have sold them inferior grade as it stunk like a skunk. I met a lovely partisan, whose screams through the bullhorn stirred my loins, and I accepted her offer to share a tent for the night. Now I must ask, I have developed a stench and I scream in pain while peeing on police cars, is there something wrong here?
