Action Alert! The People™ Forced to Live in Slums

User avatar
Comrades! This is an all out call for action! I received this yesterday from one of my informants. At first. I figured she must have been overdoing the potato vodka, for surely such a tragedy as this could not be happening in New Orleans, one of the most progressive socialist cities in the United Socialist States of Amerika. As it turned out, the report was indeed tragic!

People Forced to Live in Slum Due to Bush!

This was of course more than I could bear, and so I had to verify the authenticity.

KGB Report on Slum Conditions Found in USSA!
Pravda Investigation Confirms Existence of Slum Conditions

Sharon Jasper, a former St. Bernard complex resident presented by activists Tuesday as a victim of changing public housing policies, took a moment before the start of the City Hall protest to complain about her subsidized private apartment, which she called a "slum." A HANO voucher covers her rent on a unit in an old Faubourg St. John home, but she said she faced several hundred dollars in deposit charges and now faces a steep utility bill.

"I'm tired of the slum landlords, and I'm tired of the slum houses," she said.

Pointing across the street to an encampment of homeless people at Duncan Plaza, Jasper said, "I might do better out here with one of these tents."

Comrades, you better have a seat before viewing this. It's not pretty! This is the sort of slum conditions some of our voters must endure! Don't be deceived Comrades! That HD TV is not even plasma!

I replied to the person who sent it to let her know the story she was sending on was really a spoof. Then she replied back that the part of the story she sent was indeed true, and lo and behold, she was correct

This is some of the poverty that the Empress and BHO are warning would become even worse if Hope 'N Change does not win! Comrades, we simply must steal collect more money from the evil rich capitalists till they are no more! This really should not be a surprise to me since I worked for a year as an eligibility officer for what was then the worlds second biggest welfare office, on Tulane Ave in New Orleans. I still have nightmares and flashbacks from witnessing with my own eyes the misery the proles had to endure in New Orleans.

At least this brave and courageous woman is fighting back! Not only is she fighting for the poor folks, check out the glorious shirt she is wearing.

But even here, the peaceful pleas from these oppressed people were viciously attacked by the black booted "police" that were hired by Haliburton to carry out the evil plans of Karl Rove and Bush!

Comrades! I am so torn up right now, I can barely digest my barbecued baby seals were it not for the virgin blood tonic recommended by the Empress. I demand action! We need more ca$h and we need it now! All of it will of course be For the Common Good™ and I can assure you I will put your contributions to good use.

As I view these thugs in uniform, these virtual storm-troopers, savagely attacking these peacefully gathered advocates of the voiceless, my heart bleeds. Their poverty was so evident...their thin, emaciated bodies cringing under the boot of the oppressors, their voices, strained by hunger, barely audible....

I could have shown you yet more of the carnage Comrade Betinov Brain, but I felt this would have been too much for even the most stalwart hearts. Can you imagine the poverty? That any one could live in such squalid conditions? Should the fact that they don't have to pay for all they need keep them from having all they want? Of course not!

There is a poster in my English class that a student did for some dumb project that has the same picture that s/h/it is wearing the the second picture.

There's also another one that has a wanted sign on it with Bush's picture that says that he's wanted for "Crimes Against Humanity and the Planet". I guess crimes against the planet are just as bad as not allowing a dictator to commit mass murder. I sometimes struggle to understand such lojik.

You know it is obscene! The Bushitlers wanting to tear down the People's Projects in New Orleans! They want to push some unproven, untested, non-progressive mixed income housing!

This comes from Wikipedia: Its housing projects have a reputation for being some of the roughest and most dangerous in the United States. These housing projects in New Orleans have also been home to important cultural contributions, such as the birth of Bounce music.

That's right! It is a war against Bounce music!

Bounce My Comrades!!!!!

and this one...just because

How did The People endure life under the Neo-Con Fascists before Bounce music?

This is a crime against humanity! The government issued entertainment system didn't given with blue ray! And I don't see a blue tooth on that poor disenfranchised minorities ear. Just look how hard she has to work. It no easy chore to find something good on at 1pm.

I know comrade, seeing that sort of depraved poverty and squalor is almost too much to bear, and perhaps I should apologize for presenting such an image. However, we must know the sort of battle we are facing, the distance we must travel before we can achieve the glorious People's Worker's Utopia we all seek. Not only was there no blue tooth, that TV was not even plasma! If her eyes are not ruined by age, they will soon fail from poor image quality!

*Head explodes*
That's a great looking apartment by New Orleans standards. Based on that photo, I would've traded her "slum" for some of the places I (not the govt.) paid to live in. I'm totally at a loss for words that wouldn't make me sound like a raving maniac Kos Kid. Un-flippin'-believable.

N.O. public housing wasn't hidden away like it is some cities. It was right there for everyone to see. It was awful, crime-ridden, inhumane and degrading and the f***ing lefties there LOVED it that way. Every time some one tried to step up and help change it for the better, the local misery merchants would try every thing they could to shoot it down. Local architect Pres Kabakov was utterly reamed out for trying to change St. Thomas from a miserable gulag in to an actual neighborhood with a *GASP* Wal Mart in it. Of course, the community thanked Wal Mart for their role in helping to finance the project by looting and destroying the store they'd built there in the aftermath of Katrina. I'm sure many of you have seen that news footage.

BTW, yes I have read the Snopes article but like Commissar Pupovich said, the satire was an exaggeration based on a true story. There definitely have been cases slum conditions in section 8 housing there and it could always be traced back to indifference and corruption at the local level. New Orleans is the place where I learned to hate nanny state leftism because I saw it destroy people on a massive scale.
