Comrade Marx, you have nailed the Marxist on the head. White peoples wanting black peoples to be white peoples when they are black peoples and not....... well, you get the idea. Father did not know best!! Welfare single parental units are knowing better! And leaving it to Beaver was leaving it to white peoples!!

Give yourself one extra vodka ration and send the bill to Red Square.

Is it my imagination, or is Jesse looking a bit jealous and perturbed about where the Right Left Reverend Al's hand is?

User avatar
Oh dear.

The Right Left Reverend Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) is now claiming that "white crackers" are holding back civil rights - just like before! The Tea Party is the same bunch that were in favor of segregation back in the Jim Crow days! He didn't specify the ages of the white crackers.

All of which is, of course, contrary to:

1) Ann Coulter's entire book, "Mugged"

2) This article, also by Ann, which is kind of a summary of just who was and who wasn't really against and for segregation/integration/civil rights in the non-progressive version of history sometimes known as Reality.

Comrades, we MUST STOP these white crackers! Just like the Democrat Party did in the days of Jim Crow!

Poor Comrade Rangel is forgetting that the "white crackers holding back civil rights" were Democrats.

(cough cough) never be minding.

George Wallace was a Democrat; so was Bull Connor
Michael Barone wrote:

MSNBC's Chris Hayes, who seems like a nice (fixed this for Mr. Barone) person, got caught making a huge historical mistake; he said George Wallace, the Alabama Governor who defied a desegregation order 50 years ago, was a Republican. Nope. He was a Democrat and ran in the Democratic presidential primaries in 1964, 1972 and 1976; he also ran for president as a third party candidate in 1968. Hayes either didn't know that - surprisingly for a political commentator - or temporarily and perhaps conveniently forgot it. Or maybe he just figures that all political villains are Republicans. In any case he apologized for what he, appropriately, called 'a stupid, inexcusable, historically illiterate mistake.'

Here's another fact he and others may want to keep in mind as we remember the climactic events of the civil rights movement 50 years ago: Bull Connor, the Birmingham police commissioner who turned fire hoses and police dogs on peaceful civil rights demonstrators, was a Democrat too.
