Dear Leader upset that foreigners keep secrets

WASHINGTON — Washington knew Egypt and the United Arab Emirates were planning to secretly carry out air strikes against Islamist militias inside Libya, a U.S. official said Tuesday.

A New York Times report said U.S. diplomats were “fuming” because the United States was not given prior notification of the attacks.

The official, however, said the U.S. warned Egypt and the U.A.E. against going through with plans for a possible operation.

More brilliant subterfuge from The One™. He knew about that which he was given no prior notice and warned those who were making secret plans not to do what He knew they were going to do, even though nobody told Him that they were going to do it.

In a joint statement, the United States joined with Britain, France, Germany and Italy in expressing its concerns, saying “”outside interference in Libya exacerbates current divisions and undermines Libya's democratic transition.”

A U.S. official said the intervention wasn't done with authorization from Libya's government.

And the newly appointed U.N. envoy to Libya said he doesn't believe foreign intervention is helpful. The diplomat, Bernardino Leon, said only an inclusive political process with all Libyans represented in parliament, government and other state institutions will end the instability gripping the country more than three years after the uprising that toppled dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

“Any kind of intervention or foreign intervention won't help Libya get out of chaos,” Leon said.

Draw you're own conclusions. Obviously, Dear Leader is upset that the UAE and Egypt are refusing to follow his lead from behind non-strategy.

American officials have not attributed the strikes to any country publicly. Egypt has repeatedly denied involvement. Emirati officials have not commented.

It's a good thing it's being kept secret. Who knows what might happen in Libya if this got out. the whole country could descend into chaos.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri on Tuesday said reports of an Egyptian role in the airstrikes were “unsubstantiated rumors.”

Shukri said his country respects Libya's popular will and elected parliament, and wanted to help train its armed forces.

“But we have no direct connection to any of the military operations on the ground in Libya,” Shukri said.

Egypt is, apparently, unsure if they were involved or unsure if the attacks actually happened. We better not let them get wind of this. They might be very upset, given their respect for Libya's popular will.

Libyan lawmakers recently voted to ask the United Nations to intervene in the ongoing militia battles throughout the country. The militias largely are comprised of the rebels who toppled and later killed Gaddafi in 2011.

This was so secret that the Libyans don't even know that they were bombed, apparently. And they clearly are clueless when it comes to how much chaos foreign intervention will cause their country. Didn't they listen to the UN envoy?

I'm so glad that Dear Leader is in charge of one of the most transparent administrations ever and that this secret is out so that everyone can see how stupid those Libyans are.

Later in the same conference, the official announced the beginning of Fast & Furious II: The Dark Continent, through which the Federal government will give AK-47s to guerrillas from different African countries....

This could be somewhat problematic, now that the manufacturer of the AK47 is involved in an uninvited intervention and Dear Leader has informed comrade Putin that he's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy. And Dear Leader has decided to take his shopping privileges away.

I thought maybe we could steal them, and not tell Putin; and then distribute them, and not tell any of the African states. Can't we do that? Can't Dear Leader do that?

Stealing is immoral, comrade Kelly, and illegal. Confiscation, on the other hand, is perfectly moral and legal. Especially when done for The Children™. Dear Leader can just issue an executive order drecreeing the confiscation of all those ugly assault weapons from the criminally minded, so called 'law abiding', NRA types and he'd have more than enough small arms to supply revolutionary Africa. It would be a win/win for America and Africa without any risky uninvited intervention into Mother Russia.
