Heretics!

Skeptics, Debunkers and Deniers.

This is an article by apparently well-known Canadian Public Relations Professional (It says so on his blog) Jim Hoggan. That's two 'G's because he is better than the proletariat Hogan. He is also the president of his own PR firm, Hoggan and Associates. Minister of Agitprop Hoggan's BIO is well worth the read.

The last sentence is most compelling:

The blog exists to identify unethical PR tactics and to expose the PR people who are trying to confuse the public about climate change.

Yes, of course it does. But as you read the blog entry linked above, I hope you will see, as I do, the similarity in his language to an ancient document discovered by archeologists in Italy:

Heretics!

What is characterized as "heliocentrism" has to often disintegrated into an argument over whether the Earth is indeed revolving around the sun. This a huge credit to those interests groups that have attacked the science behind the Ptolemaic system. Fashioning themselves "scientific skeptics," these well-funded advocates have struck a righteous pose as debunkers - as guardians against the Astronomical Chicken Littles who have noticed that the sky, if not falling, is still moving around the earth.

These are not debunkers, testing outrageous claims with scientific rigor. They are deniers, shouting against a truth that they find economically unpalatable. They are not using science; they're using a toxic concoction of public relations stunts of which any good Church goer should be ashamed. SHAME!

But don't take our word for it. Check out the best scrolls.

Here's a list of choices, beginning with the Interdenominational Panel on Ptolemaic Astronomy - unquestionably the most reputable selection of real Astronomers in the world. The first group lays out the case for caution. The second group would throw caution to the wind, having us believe some ludicrous notion about gravity while precious earth is kited around the sun like a plaything. Read with interest and always consider motive.

Ask yourself two questions:

1. Why would 2,000 of the Church's top academics and Astronomers cook up a Earth-Centric conspiracy?

2. What have heliocentrics got to gain from denying the Ptolemaic position?

And if you have difficulty making the link between the deniers and the Devil, just visit our library... down in the dungeon.

Sincerely,
Cardinal Bellarmine
