Historic first: America normalizes relations with a man

Obama Firsts -- For the first time in American history America has normalized relations with a man. The owners of Cuba, the Castro brothers, have been given the title "Cuba" by the Obama administration and the land, property, and people they seized two generations ago and reduced to their personal plantation has been given the status of a real country.

Opinions on this historic feat of autocratic magic on the part of Obama, the turning of a plantation and its ruthless owners into a legitimate state, pour in from around the world. The only place in the world where the opinion would actually count, in Cuba, the actual Cuban people, there cannot actually be an independent opinion nor even the means to voice an independent opinion on the subject. "Cuba" is not the word for Cuba. "Cuba" is a euphemism for a man, Raul Castro.

Cuba proper is at present nothing but a large tropical island with people on it that do not have a government that represents THEM. There is no country "Cuba" to normalize relations with.

Obama has achieved a first. Unfortunately for him, history will remember him for it.

Reason for editing this post: "it's" should be "its" in "...and its ruthless owners..."

Comrade, turns out a man is an island. Unfortunately the US Board on Geological Names insists that "celebrity" naming of islands can only occur five years after said celebrity's death. The exploding cigars, and toxic wet suit could have facilitated this, but alas no. Maybe then by executive order we will come full circle to this most excellent recognition. Castro Si, Cuba No?

Given the need for a fundamental transformation, i.e., conversion, of Amerikkka, even a child could have predicted this Castro Convertible venture.

After 56 years, Obama opens doors to Cuba. So what will Cuba-US normalization look like? Here's our short-term prediction: U.S. tourists will flock to see Cuba before it gets 'Americanized' and Cubans will flock to see the US before it looks like Cuba towards the end of Obama's presidency.

Cuban comrades - If that is the case, I suggest a faster boat!

Is this truly a normalizing of relations, or one of those "Bro-mances" that Hollywood tells us is appropriate?

What is Reggie Love's position on this? He's been undercover for a while, hasn't he?

The mad rush to see Amerika before she is completely liberated by communism has inspired new innovations among the natives. One industrious comrade unveiled his latest design concept to meet the demand. It is not certain whether the new concept boat-car will be able reach the mainland in time, but its designer sees it as a step in the right direction.
