Harry Belafonte: since the Republicans "are violating the American desire," the "only thing left for Barack Obama to do" is to pull a Stalin and "just put all these guys in jail."

Even if he said it in jest, Belafonte's call for political repressions is a logical extension of the ideas shared by many "progressive" entertainers. That includes Woody Allen, who said this in an interview to a Spanish-language magazine: "It would be good… if [President Obama] could be dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly."

If Obama is not a socialist, why do so many leftists take his election to mean "the American desire" to establish a totalitarian dictatorship - and think it's a good thing? So much for "socialism with a human face."

No wonder Hollywood could never truthfully depict either the Soviet or Nazi regimes, substituting the collectivist realities of socialism with grotesque caricatures of improbable monsters, uncultured brutes, neurotic sociopaths, or sadistic, sexually repressed perverts. It never occurs to them that unspeakable crimes could be committed in the name of "the common good" by very ordinary, altruistic people - out of an all too familiar desire to "do a lot of good things quickly" through dictatorial powers. Such a notion would be too terrifying, of course, because they might just recognize their own reflection in the mirror.

Well, aside from the Death Panel that is staffed by unaccountable Czars & commisar's loyal to the "ONE's" new plans for Equal care for those less Equal, I must tell you that the "NEW" push is going to come from the Dept. of Counters of Pills.

As the Health Czar, I can tell you with all cofindence that the Inner Circle & the golden Parachute Plan is fully stocked, the people's planz, not so much. But, never fear for I have completed the required paperwork in triplicate, rubber stamped my own approval of said plan that has to be seen to be known what is in it, and will clear up any shortages to the peasants in short order, say 10 years or so.

Other, more pleasant surpirizes will be unleashed upon all our comrades woking the beet fields once the inncer circle approves them and accepts the payments that have been collected in their honor.
