Obama Brightens Texan's Day With Clever Border Humor

Presidential humor helps ease tensions over border crisis

Fresh from a successful fund raising tour, President Obama was apparently unable to contain his enthusiasm during an impromptu press briefing in Texas Wednesday. The giddy president did his best to spread some needed cheer to the assembled Texans concerned over a sudden flood of unaccompanied children entering the state.

"President Barack Obama on Wednesday said he is not visiting the U.S. border while in Texas because he is “not interested in photo-ops” and urged Congress to approve funding to deal with the surge of minors illegally streaming into the country."

“There is nothing that is taking place down there that I am not intimately aware of and briefed on,” Obama said. “This isn't theater, this is a problem. I'm not interested in photo ops.”

Texans should cut Dear Leader some slack about massive illegal immigration from Mexico.
After all, he only heard about it Monday night while on Twitter.

But fear not... his laser-like concentration will solve the border problem immediately.

The files about the immigrant numbers are corrupted and shall be disposed promptly.

#Wet-Feet/Dry-Feet Versus Dry-Back/[Censored]

We classify Cubans still yet
Whose feet may be dry or be wet,*
But people who swam
The great Rio Grande
Are not folks with backs being wet.

June 2, 2009 Congressional Research Service document titled:
"Cuban Migration to the United States"

Quotation from page 4 of hardcopy; electronic page 7 of pdf:

As a consequence of the migration agreements and interdiction policy, a “wet foot/dry foot”
practice toward Cuban migrants has evolved. Put simply, Cubans who do not reach the shore (i.e.,dry land), are returned to Cuba unless they cite fears of persecution. Those Cubans who
successfully reach the shore are inspected by DHS and generally permitted to stay in the United States and adjust under CAA the following year.
