ObamaCare's Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose

The Left is destroying the economy by many means and with many rationales to obfuscate the fact.

Now, in order to defend ObamaCare they've taken to defending the terrible, tragic, and in a word criminal, destruction of the American populace's ability to strive for a better standard of living and better life, by declaring that ObamaCare's destruction of employment will actually be a boon to freedom.

Their claim is based on nothing less than the Marxist idea that in a socialist state the masses will be liberated from wage slavery because the state will provide what they need and then everyone will be able to truly pursue all their dreams. The Democrats fully agree with this idea and are trying to instill it in the national psyche.

That this nonsense is being taken seriously by anyone other than knee-jerk reactionary street corner soapbox demagogues of the Left is frightening. The long term results of maintaining this criminal coup of free society and its further repercussions on our lives is horrifying to contemplate.

"ObamaCare is just another word for nothing left to lose. And nothing, that's all ObamaCare left me."

Yes, yes, and no one will ever again have to do the nasty work of, say, maintaining sewer systems and utilities, doing manual labor in fields and factories (if there are any such left), hauling goods cross-country (if there are any goods to haul), fixing heavy machinery (ditto), or any other such unpleasant tasks. We will all be free to do what we wish.

Of course, this will require slaves to do the nasty work. But no matter. The State will find a way.

RedDiaperette, all of those things you mention have negative effects on the environment. Therefore none of it should be done anyway. So, as we can see, Obamacare's "freedom from work" consequence is a double blessing for the People ™ and for the environment ™.

(And just between you and me, hidden within these parentheses that nobody else can see, I don't understand why the Karl Marx Treatment Center is in such a lather. As any good progressive knows, freedom from work means that we will all be able to spend much more time on our computers creating posts for The People's Cube.)

The road to Utopia passes directly through Hell, so once in Utopia why would anyone return to tell us of its wonders? We must have faith that Dear Leader knows the way.

Comrade RedDiaperette,

I believe the process for the State to find a way will follow along the lines of the apocryphal quote from the dead male white slave owner T. Jefferson, "Those who pound their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not." After all, power flows from the barrel of a rifle. The glorious People's Republic of Connecticut has shown us the way. Register your power with the State!
