Out of Karakter - a true Cuban hero

User avatar
Our media is predictably lamenting the loss of their hero, and Hell's latest inmate, Fidel Castro, who did "so much to improve education and health care in Cuba" according to the current media mantra.
Do you remember the huge number of Americans who risked their lives crossing the Straits of Florida in flimsy crafts to flee oppression here and avail themselves of the superior health care in Cuba? Neither do I.
But I do know that Castro died a billionaire while his people continue to live out of ration booklets.
If you want to read about a true Cuban hero, I can't recommend "I Will Die Free" by Noble Alexander highly enough. Alexander was an Adventist pastor who served 22 years in Cuba's prison system faithfully ministering the Gospel and enduring unimaginable torture for doing so. I had the privilege of hearing him speak several years ago and briefly meeting him shortly before his death.
In his trial, he was literally bound and gagged before entering the court room while the judge was flipping through a comic book. His "defense attorney" provided free of charge by the benevolent state, met him for the first time at the commencement of the trial and declared that his client was guilty, and asked whether he might get a more "lenient" sentence. Alexander's testimony of God's persevering grace in the midst of unrelenting persecution is truly inspiring...

Falsely accused of conspiracy to assassinate Fidel Castro, Noble Alexander spent 22 years in one of the most brutal prison systems on earth. From a place where death is often preferred to life comes a stunning testimony of persecution and… more at AMAZON.COM

Yes, it is always sad to see a great leader go. But to console us, we have our Betters of course!

The prime comissar of the Kanadian soviets will be talking to us in Brussels on the remembrance day of one of our own "controversial" socialist leaders soon.

Below is a small sneak preview of his coming speech:

"Adolf Hitler was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century (first in the army, then as a poltician). A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Hitler made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his nation."

"While a controversial figure, both Mr. Hitler's supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the German people who had a deep and lasting affection for 'der Führer'."

How true! We often get so focused on concentration camps, military invasions, and einsatzgruppen massacres that we forget Hitler was a vegetarian.

You are no Dummkopf to notice that. Solar power, green propulsion, and the fog inside the glass case is no doubt el líder de la Revolución still exerting himself to save the planet.

The car was sabotaged by American imperialists. Nothing to see here. Move along.

That has to be the alternate explanation, otherwise the faith of the Toiling Masses in our next Five Year Plan will be undermined by the state's inability to plan a five hour funeral.
But at the same time, we have to be careful not to close the door on Russian espionage since they're the current alternate explanation for Hillary simply blowing the election by being her old strident self.
But last week, we envied the Russians while this week they are the ones whom we currently blame for the overthrow of our candidate who did so much to "reset" relations with Russia. So by blaming the Russians, we are charging Hillary with yet another failure which is unthinkable because she's a woman or something.
But thank Lenin, the Truth only has to be current, not consistent.
