Shutdown Cancels FICMNEW Meetings: Weeds Now Run Rampant

A Typical Parking Lot After the Forced GOP / Tea-Party Shutdowns of FICMNEW Meetings

The Federal Interagency Committee for the Management of Noxious and Exotic Weeds (FICMNEW) was established in August 1994, representing an unprecedented formal partnership between 16 federal agencies with direct invasive plant management and regulatory responsibilities spanning across the United States and territories.

During its monthly open meetings, FICMNEW members interacted on important national and regional invasive plant issues and shared information with various public and private organizations participating with the federal sector to address invasive plant issues.

These monthly meetings have now been put on hold due to the Republican and tea party extremists, who are now holding the federal government hostage, by only providing funding for what they have deemed, 'essential services'.

Noxious and exotic weeds upon receiving the news that they are no longer under federal management, have taken advantage of this lack of vitally needed oversight and are now running rampant throughout the nation.

The public is being advised by the White House that if you see a noxious or exotic weed encroaching on your property, to stay calm and do not approach it until this crises is over and a federal agent trained in pulling weeds is once again available again to perform this dangerous tasking.

Forty million Americans either do not have access to lawnmowers or cannot afford the cost of gasoline to operate them. Congress must fund ObamaLawnCare before things get out of hand!

Comrades, if these government agencies are not given the monies they so rightly need and deserve the entire USSA will soon look like my home state of Georgia which has been under Rethuglikkkan control for years!

I saw this article this morning, detailing what could happen if the government is still shut down on a series of future dates:

How the Ripple Effects of the Government Shutdown Might Spread Day-by-Day

https://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/1 ... snhp&pos=2

President Barack Obama says of the government shutdown: “The longer this goes on, the worse it will be.”
How much worse is still an open question. Nobody has been through this in 17 years, and federal agencies are scrambling to make adjustments. But more examples are emerging each day of the damage that a prolonged shutdown would wreak.
From paychecks to childcare, money and services have been brought to a grinding halt. And fewer FDA inspectors means higher prices -- which could make an impact in the grocery store. NBC's Miguel Almaguer reports.
Here are some examples of what would happen if the shutdown stretched days, weeks or even months.
Couple that with this Snoogie's post showing overgrown weeds, and I'm reminded of that program on The History Channel called Life After People.

Perhaps it's time for them to produce a new series titled Life Without Government.

Or they could just change the title of Life After People to Life Without Government. Really, comrades—what's the difference?

This temporary inconvenience for some government "workers" provides us a vision of things to come. Imagine the screaming and gnashing of teeth following the upcoming collapse of the all mighty dollar. Dumpster diving, anyone?
