Stand On Your Head All Night And If You Still Feel Sick Call Me In The Morning

Public Education, a top down command and control bureaucracy fueled by politics, is easily hijacked by the Lysenkos of crack-pot education theories. Thus, the state of education in Public schools.

Soon, we can expect the Lysenkos of Health Care to have a national voice in how you get treated. Fueled by politics and a top down command and control bureaucracy, the Lysekos of crack-pot medical theories will soon be able to get their way, unhindered by you, your doctor or the judgment of the marketplace:

Congressman: Add meditation to healthcare bill

Will they teach us how to use our third eye?

My best friend's child was introduced to this enlightening concept while in class one day. Precious.

I had hopes that the assembled members of the AMA would shout him down and then get up and walk out on Obama. Instead he won them over with sweet promises of protection from malpractice awards.

I thought physicians were smarter than that.

When every doctor is an official employee of the regime, of course they'll be immune from lawsuits, safe to practice whatever shoddy medicine the regime mandates.

I remember when most doctors condemned medicare as Socialized medicine. Yet today, many shyster practitioners make a tidy profit gaming the system. This is how Socialism eventually corrupts everything it touches. An honest man must either play the game or go under.

In the USSR, there were no malpractice lawsuits. What son of a bitch would sue his own Motherland? Mwahahahaha! Doctors too were among the lowest-paid people in the country. There were no private companies to sue for millions. All companies belonged collectively to the workers and peasants, represented by the Party. And so did all hospitals. Hence, there were no slip-and-fall ambulance-chasing lawyers either.

I must stand corrected, in fact Obama did NOT assure the doctors that he'd cap malpractice awards and for that they did boo him. But the useful idiots gave him plenty of standing O's on other topics.

I find it interesting that Obama wants to spend another TRILLION dollars to insure 16 million people who currently lack insurance. That's about $62,000 per person. You can get private health insurance for about $2,400 per person per year. Would it not be cheaper to just give those folks a $3,000 voucher and let them all go buy their own coverage?

It would be cheaper, but the issue isn't the issue. This is social change, baby!

To the future! Don't look back.

The revolution is just around the corner.

Where do you get that insurance? Mine's $26K a year. I ought to shop around but owing to past illnesses...but my physician says I've been perfectly healthy for three years. I love her dearly but she is dogmatic and sometimes unreliable in business.

Holy enlightenment, the peoples are getting a state religion. How prog. How Zen-prog. Not only will we be living in a glorious workers paradise under the spiritual guidance of our Dear Leader, our children will be enlightened, too.

Actually, as a practicing Buddhist of nearly thirty-three years, the thirteenth century monk whose teachings I follow, had a particular disdain for meditation (in and of itself) as a path to enlightenment. However, Zen is just so prog, I'm not surprised it found it's way into the psyche of congressional representatives like Ryan. If I had children, I could sue and say it was against our religion to meditate.

I am preparing a glorious new book. Zen, and the Art of Small Arms Maintenance. It is sure to be a hit in Oakland.

What about Zen and the Art of Mind Maintenance? It comes with a discount to Jiffi-Lobo.

User avatar
Comrades,

Zen and the Art of Mind Maintenance is an excellent May Day gift for all those unbearable boorish xenophobic Bible- and gun-clutching "friends" or "relatives" you're cursed with. Enlighten them. Although you might have to read it aloud to them, slowly, rest assured they squeal with joy, just like the capitalist pigs they are.

I must say Comrade Red Square has an excellent point, one that holds pretty much for Japan. While public health is largely dispensed through private clinics, malpractice suits apparently frequently fail and the court system is so slow that by then time you get a win and the appeal is filed, you (and/or the doctor) will probably be dead by the time the next trial comes around.

But what I want to know is when phrenology (with no discriminatory discounts for non-follicly-challenged males) and aromatherapy will be required to be included in health insurance plans.

"When do we want it? Now!"
"Who's going to pay for it? Not me!"
