Golf is a gentleman's sport and decorum is paramount. Rules are rules and they must be upheld no matter the stature or pedigree of the participant. But, like any system of rules, the system must mature and evolve over time and sometimes one can run afoul without realizing.

As an outside observer one may have thought that Tiger Wood's philandering with multiple escorts might have so tarnished his image that the gentlemen of golf would have ostracized him. Alas, the philandering rules have evolved and Tiger was ruled in bounds.

But not so for the rules on mentioning food. Fuzzy Zoeller learned this the hard way and now Sergio Garcia must fall prey to the fried chicken penalty and he has been disqualified.

In my patented Victim/Villain Heirarchy Moving Matrix, this week Garcia cannot be deemed racist due to being Spanish. regardless if he is of the European kind or not. All spanish & portuguese speaking peoples are by default 'hispanic' regardless of country of origin and therefore beyond reproach.

Protected class trumps poorly chosen words.
Protected pols trump sexual misconduct.
Protected pols of a protected class can basically put babies on spikes with little more than a wagging finger, provided that finger belongs to an equally protected class or apparatchik.

Subversive Skwerl, your matrix is way off. People from the Iberian peninsula might be Hispanic, but like Ted Cruz, they're not real Hispanics.

Indeed, Commissarka - while I have have no doubt that our dear Skwerl's matrix is just slightly out of tune and would benefit greatly from a minor adjustment, it's much like, say, how Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, and Walter Williams are examples of another protected (and superior) class who have gone off the plantation off the rails and who aren't real Blacks African Americans.

Commissarka Pinkie's enhancement to the theory does adjust and tune the Matrix for those anomalous occurrences of "not black enough" and "Hispanic in name only" that may confuse the uninformed or uninitiated.
