Raul Castro must have killed his brother Fidel.

Why, just the other day Fidel said that it was Capitalism that failed Cuba, not Communism.

If Cuba is ditching Communism, what will happen to the Glorious Dэaя Lэadэя's experiment in the USA?

People's-Cubers, we must rally around the Dэaя Lэadэя, and do everything we can to muffle the sound of this huge collapse of Cuban Communism. The American Press must remain silent about this political disaster. Americans must be kept in the dark about what is going on in the rest of the world's Scientific Socialist Utopias. It is Bush's fault that Communism isn't working as it should.

All Castro had to do was call Dear Leader for a little advice. Dear Leader would have porkulus'ed 'em big time into renewed prosperity. Now the masses have lost faith & will be coming here for an education in how to set up some Real Communism ™ .

My dear Comrade Jilbaro,

Firstly, our Cuban Comrades are not "laying off" one million fine government employees.

They are merely going to "shift hundreds of thousands of state employees to the private sector in 2011 as the government prunes more than 500,000 workers from its payroll."

And then "eventually more than a million jobs would be cut"

(According to the September 13 Financial Times, as if they have a direct connection to Cuba or something)

Also please note that while 500,000 state employees are going to be shifted to the "private sector", that is not necessarily the "million jobs to be cut". They might mean the 500,000 state employees shifted to the private sector will "replace" another 500,000 people who were already in the "private sector".

That would be truly "progressive" would it not?

Secondly, it is widely known that while Communism may have appeared to "fail wherever it has been tried", it has only been dormant while stealthily taking over the Democrat PartyTM, the Main Stream Media, and the American educational system, which has been graduating millions of fine new Communists ever since 1974.

At last, the Americans can see the glorious world of Next TuesdayTM and they are at last going to show the world how to do Communism right correctly.

And now that I am on the subject of the agents of the state (and their friends and families) doing well during and after the "fall" of Communism, I am reminded of NOMENKLATURA.

Nomenklatura

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The term Nomenklatura was used in the Soviet Union for members of the Communist Party and Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza - Polish United Workers' Party (PZPR). This privileged class gained various profits solely from being in the party.

Milovan Djilas wrote of the nomenklatura as the New Class.

After the fall the the Communist regime most of the nomenklatura were able to secure lucrative positions in the industry or buy out some property at ridiculously low cost.who enjoy special privileges such as shopping at well-stocked stores. The same term was used in Poland for the members of the former Communist Party.

I learned of this 10 years ago when I stumbled across-

An American Nomenklatura

This is outrage. Saint Comrade Shirley Sherrod so spoke and foretold promised that the most holy revered government never lays people off. Is always expanding. ALWAYS!!!

To quote:
Nomenklatura is the word used by Michael Voslensky in his brilliant book of the same title to identify the ruling elites in the Soviet Union who lived in an unreal world, unconnected from any kind of normalcy in their society. They lived in secured enclaves, attended elite schools, shopped at opulent stores open only to them, imported Western physicians to care for them, and lived lives of promiscuity and conspicuous consumption. In short, they governed with fantasyland ideas implemented ruthlessly, and lived fantasyland lives when they left the Ministries.
Dang Vlad if this isn't Congress I'll eat my hat.

Sarcastic conservatives have made much of the cliche that eventually every Socialist runs out of other people's money. Economists have noted that Marx himself stated in Das Kapital that first you must have Capitalism to create a base of wealth that can be seized and redistributed. That Marxism can never be instituted in nations that are impoverished to begin with and expect that those policies will bring prosperity to the people.

I think what has been lacking in the final evolution of Marxism is that in every Socialist system there will always be one last wealthy family...the dictator himself. Thus, in the end, Communism must eat it's own. The people must turn on their leader and confiscate his wealth. After all, pure Communism is stateless and no longer needs a leader. The people themselves will be self governing.

Self government by the people is called Democracy and that leads to Capitalism which starts the cycle over. Once wealth is accumulated the stage is set for the next Socialist leader to take power by promising redistribution.
