It occurs to me as the Republicans fight the progressive change happening in our country, that they have fought progress before.
I am sure that the abolishment of slavery and women's suffrage was a thorn in their side. If slavery was still legal, Republicans would have slaves.
Whereas Democrats/liberals would like to feed the children and house the poor, the Republicans would like to help no one. You think they would get tired of such selfish behavior.
We can thank the Republicans for the state of our economy. I don't mean the politicians, but the people who voted for the politicians.Let's hold them accountable.

The most damning indictment of conservatives is that studies show they give more to charity than progressives.

Everyone knows it's the job of government to fund charity using the taxes they impose on everyone so that we can all claim to be equally charitable. Even if we don't intend to be.

This is so confusing to me. I thought our glorious system was a plantation. Only that, unlike in the past, we are most happy to be Master Obama's slaves. When you work to pay taxes, you workin' for the man, and you nothin' but a slave. But is this so terrible? Our Master, Plantation Obama is a benevolent Master, is he not? And Nancy Pelosi, who could ask for nicer, kinder and prettier overseer than Nancy Pelosi. We are so blessed.
