Comrade Tovarich and Pamalinsky announce their marriage

User avatar
We were married December 2017. We thought about making a “fun” thing about it on the Cube but, after living with each other since 2010, we decided to take the more private approach. Our marriage is not a joke, nor do we think making a humorous thing about it would make you think so. We know you would respect it.

However, I would like to let you know some of the thoughts I had while waiting for my darling Tovarich in part, in the form of a video, just a video while I was on hold on a phone waiting device. That stupid waiting recording actually affected me.

He was in Japan and I was in Los Angeles.

As it turns out, our meeting place was ThePeoplesCube!

Congratulations!

If we are to have a virtual wedding with music videos, these Russian comrades from St. Petersburg can provide appropriate musical accompaniment for kollektive dancing and marching. Especially the girl who looks like Kristen Wiig. Don't stop the kollektive now!

Congratulations and may you both live happily ever after. Now, where's my most equal share of wedding cake?

What a most equal occasion! Many blessings good wishes to you.

Thank you! Thank you, Comrade Red for the awesome accordion band! How could you possibly know this kind of music was what I was hoping for? I especially loved how the players bobbled their heads to let us know how "into it" they were. A special touch. The drum solo was spectacular! (as was noted by the other players and the audience)The solo at the end sealed it for me. Thank you so much! We were thinking of visiting St. Petersburg on our travels to Eastern Europe to get a taste of how people live there, but now, we don't have to! Thanks to you!

Awwwwww............I do so love a love story. Those that find their split apart in life are truly lucky indeed. Many congratulatories are in order. In honor of the occasion I picked out a song for y'all to cut a rug to.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I know our announcement is somewhat belated but I wanted to let you all know that we met on The Peoples Cube. To me, that is amazing.

In fact, since I arrived on the Cube, about 10 years ago, I have found the most wonderful, stand up people I was so longing for in my life right here. I intend to be a Cubist for the rest of my life.

Oleg has not only provided us with a forum in which we can express our innermost thoughts, he has provided a way in which we can be “different” but relevant. Even if we screw up sometimes. We always get a second chance, an additional effort to say what we wanted to say.

I know he has given me this opportunity because I have often said things I regretted. He allowed me to say it again the way I meant it. Actually, they weren't that bad but, you can always edit your post.

Wanting to be a writer because I suddenly found the love of words, I found that the way to learn how to write is to write! By writing, listening to the words coming out of your mouth, see if it resonates with your heart and intellect, and the truth.

I could go on and on but I think I've gone off topic.

New Edit: Umm. Regarding the "Edit thing" I would like to add that we should not take advantage of this privilege. We must use it judiciously by editing our post first!

First: Kongratskies, Pammy&Hubby! Plus Happy Aeons!
Next: "private approach" - a good one, you jokesters! Your video - now transmitted (see below!) - is glorious!

Very decent, the scene: rooted in rural culture, yet also with a good shot of modernity. Complete with full gender inclusivity!

And you managed to fool even Komrade Director - your ceremony clearly had a Kube™ touch! Even more - you let it look like a scene from Motherland, somewhere between Dniester and Dnieper. All those beautifully embroidered rubashkas, Taras Bulba mustachios, tables bending under loads of pickled delicacies (ohirky @2:05!). And artfully distilled liquors, ayakzhe. Then, the music! From folksy zapyevy to modern beat (with Moldovan/Bessarabian plus Klezmer/Gypsy sparks shooting through, here and there). Great job, as Impish Orange Man uses to say.

But, but, above all - the bride!
Pammy, you surely bust all of Ivan's scepticisms and double-boob-up his insatiable appetites.

By Kvass & Kholodnik, you even staged all that in... Ukrainian!

(alas, not sure if Putin Bots or the like Russian Colluders did or did not tamper with your glorious transmission)

Dearest Genosse Dummkopf,

Thank you so much for the delightful and appropriately gender inclusive video!
I can't even discern which gender is which. Excellent! It's impossible to tell which comrade is using mustache wax and which one isn't, a conundrum one often finds in these Eastern European performances. Brilliant!

Pammie,

Despite a sulking depression triggered by your loss as a potential mate, my congratulations, albeit belated, to you and what's-his-name - Comrade Tovarich. I hope you're happy,... <sniff> and live happily ever after.

Love you too, Sweetheart, and I know you and Comrade Putout will make up for the "loss."You have always, in addition to your paramour, Putout, been my dearest allies! Thank you! I love you both!

The years fly by quickly when you are in a happy marriage. I wish you both the best!

My heartfelt congratulations, comrades! I wish you many healthy children to be sent off to government controlled boarding schools!

Some day, I too hope to find love on this forum, but I'm still waiting for the right trans-intersectionally senstitive-1% american indian - non-misandrogenic- non carbon based hyperprogressive to pass by.

Thank you, Comrade Ratskins, for your good wishes.

Yes, the years do fly by quickly when in a happy marriage! And, it's worth that perception!

Your post made me think of something I found out after meeting my wonderful husband.

Years before our meeting on The People's Cube, we found that during his visits back to the states from Japan, we were very close and yet so far from each other and didn't realize it.

He was in Rensselaer, IN when I was living in Chicago.

He made a visit to NYC when I was living there, just blocks away.

He visited Los Angeles while I was living there.

I don't know what to make of that but, well, I just don't know what to make of that.

Maybe it's just that The People's Cube brings people together no matter what!

Yeah! That's the ticket!

Oh, dear Minitrue! You're much too picky! (I was told that, too, but I was going for a "normal" not a freak.)/sarc
