CUBA... let's be social(ist)

User avatar
Of course, I'm sure the benevolent comrades Raulito and Fidelito will reciprocate by easing travel restrictions to the United States. I can just see the planes flying out of Cuba any minute now.

In the meantime, I will get in line for my visa to visit the most successful showcase of our glorious system. Would it be possible to combine a vacation with an operation--gratis--my Jifi-Lobo needs a little adjustment and some possible lubrication, as it is already showing signs of rust.

Speaking of rust, I hear the examples of rotted and rusted edifices (leftover from the days of capitalism) are just spectacular in Havana.

Comrade Broadside, we appreciate your input, but could you please limit the width of your graphics to 550 pixels because we have already developed blisters resizing them for you.

In addition, not even I, People's Director and Head of Visual Agitation, use every single picture I make to start a new topic on the Blog. It's like using a T-34 tank to transport groceries.

Proliferation of lightweight threads dilutes the strong spirit of communal commenting that has been developed on existing, more thought-intensive threads. The result is the loss of quality. And quality is what distinguishes the People's Cube from other media organs.

Please use discretion and common sense. Insert light-weight pictures like this one in the comments on other threads without starting a separate one. And if you do start a new thread, at least provide some background information and/or links to news sources.

This concerns other comrades as well.
Think of the Children!
The Party is watching.

Consider this my last post on the Cube. Farewell.

Don't take it so personal; Red Square's points are quite valid. I even recognized myself in his constructive criticism. You're luck he just didn't send Pinkie to give you a several whacks of her shovel. The Cube is his property, I for one feel privileged to play in his sandbox.

User avatar
Yes Comrade LCABroadside, you must not take it personally.

Pinkie has hit me with her shovel and it is something you do not want more of. Last time to get her to stop beating on me, I had to give her a complete Michael Bolton album set, (Stolen from Comrade Red Rooster) a bag of "Cheetos" and a half a bottle of Orange Crush.

I was thinking that perhaps once His O'lioness has "Snuggled" up to Fidel, and Raul that we can open Hemlock Restaurant in Havana. Yes I can see it now....

No! All our glorious leaders are leaving! Even if Cuba is more socialist then many, we need good people like this to make AmeriKKKa socialist and glorious.

Maybe they'll get eaten by sharks.

Comrade Elliott, I did not say I would go to a third world Sh*#hole like Cuba. That's why a made progressive has Useful Idiots.

Geez, when I complimented LCABroadside calling him an asset to the Party and then added "Prepare to be purged" I was only kidding.

Don't go LCABroadside, your rehabilitation is at hand comrade. Look at me, just a few days back I too was a thought criminal when I complained about the size limits on pics imposed by the Party. But now I realize just how wrong I was to openly question authority. Now I'm happy again. See comrade, I'm smiling...(nervous laugh).

Comrade Broadside,

While taking your ball and going home is indeed Progressive, I must encourage you not to. Visual agitation is important. Comrade Red Square merely mentions the horror of seeing 50 new threads every time we go to The People's Blog. It's no different from Comrade DarcPrynce with his new threads for each video. The Cube has many categories. Comrades just need to be properly indoctrinated to understand how to use them. I can see I've been guilty of this before as well and will say 50 Hail Obamas and pledge to reform my ways.

Who knew Chris Matthews was a satirist!
“I just am not a Castro fan,” Matthews told host Joe Scarborough when asked about the administration's “historic” opening to Cuba with the easing of travel restrictions.
“He bought the wrong ticket,” Matthews said of Castro. “He bet on Communism. He bet on the Soviet Union. If that side had won, he'd be marching down 5th Avenue overseeing the executions in Central Park. He made the wrong decision -- morally, historically, whatever. He's on the wrong side of history. He ought to pay for it.”
Not A Castro fan. LMAO, thats some funny shit.

Image I'm sure Matthews thinks with this one criticism of Obama that all is forgiven and his credentials as an objective journalist are restored. He'll reference this many times in the coming four years as proof he's not in the tank.
Matthews called the Cold War “a good war,” adding “I think we were on the right side.”
Wow, he is really going out on a limb with this one.

I concur with other comrades. In everything.

Comrade Broadside, I clicked on the link you left above, and discovered, to my surprise, that you only speak in pictures on your own blog. Of course, a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this gulag, we are beaten if we do not write sentences that are worth a thousand pictures.

Of course, this is easy for Comrade Pinkie, however, speaking for myself, I often find beads of sweat forming on my brow in my efforts to keep up.

Keeping the rest of us from wielding our shovels in all wayward directions, is a constant source of exasperation for comrade Red Square, especially when Marshall Pupovich is not on duty.

Hmm. . . never thought of it that way, but it's fabulous.

Let us not forget one of the many phrases of wisdom of Ronald Reagan, "A nation without borders is not a nation."
