Fisters in NYC: Capitalism is responsible for Ebola

A small but vocal community of Communist Fisters has held a massive 40-men march across from the Radio City Music Hall today, demanding a total unionization, prosecution of killer cops for racist murders, freedom for Palestine, cancelation of student debt, minimum wage of $15/hr, and the boycott of Staples. And, of course, blaming capitalism for Ebola.

If you don't know who the fisters are, read this first: TEABAGGERS vs. FISTERS: The Debate Is OverOur special New York correspondent, Mi, happened to be on that corner this afternoon, taking these pictures and describing what happened.

The organizers brought more Soviet flags and pre-printed signs (see them unpacked below) than there were the marchers, obviously overestimating the desire of the toiling masses roaming around Times Square to join their collective fisting event. That, of course, shouldn't stop them from counting all the tourists in the pedestrian area as members of their thousand-strong fisting crowd.

Image

Palestinian flags, checkered kuffias, and pro-Hamas, anti-Israel literature were also present. Every offer came with a free Palestine (buy one Palestine, get another one free).~

Some comrades promoted an interesting "alternative banking" idea. That probably means that all individual deposits go to one single collective pool and then get equally redistributed among all customers.

Image

I may be wrong on that, as some other comrades have visually demonstrated their alternative banking ideas, which involved spanking, blow-up dolls, and S&M.

Image

These three young people would probably want to work at such a cool alternative bank when they grow up. What stands in the way of their dream is the stupid traditional banking as it exists on Wall Street. Old-fashioned banking is totally uncool, dude. Hence "Our real enemy is on Wall Street" sign with the crosshairs. What a swell idea! Imagine a Tea Party sign that says "Our real enemy is on Pennsyvania Ave" and have the crosshairs. That would be a bad idea. These young people have learned their lesson: being a Fister comes with privileges.

This event was announced on the FIST website only a week ago, on October 1st. No wonder only 40 fisters saw it and added it to their calendars. Either that, or all the others simply don't have calendars because of capitalism.

This screenshot couldn't fit all the reasons why people should start fisting against capitalism, so we posted them below, courtesy of FightImperialism.org. We hope they won't sue us for copyright infringement - that would be so bourgeois!

8 Reasons why we are Marching against Capitalism on October 8

On October 8th, FIST will be marching on the World Business Forum, a meeting of 5,000 corporate executives at Radio City Music Hall, in what we are calling the March against Capitalism. Here is why:

  1. Capitalism is racist and sexist as hell. Let's face it, the pigs responsible for killing Michael Brown, Eric Garner, and so many others did it for two reasons: they are racist and they have the power to get away with it because they are the "state." We know that racism was invented in the United States to keep African slaves, indigenous peoples, and other workers from uniting against their common oppressor, the extremely wealthy white men ruling class. Meanwhile, these rulers require the state (the police & military) as well as the media to protect their property which they use to amass more wealth.
  2. We have no future under capitalism. Global youth unemployment keeps hitting new highs, while more young people attempt to come to the US for a future, only to be deported or held in concentration camp settings. Young people, especially youth of color, face a crisis of underfunded schools, impoverished families, increased militarization of police, growing prisons, and low wages, if any. The supposed "American Dream" is now but a nightmare.
  3. Capitalism is irrational. Products that are urgently needed, such as cures for diseases such as Ebola or lung cancer, are deemed not profitable enough to develop. Capitalism's irrationality is because society is run by a tiny group of bankers and industrialists looking out for their own interests, most notably profit, while the rest of us suffer the consequences of lack of resources for decent jobs, healthcare, food, housing, transportation, or anything else not profitable and definitely not guaranteed as a human right.
  4. Capitalism is killing the planet. This is really another example of how capitalism is irrational. While technologies exist which could drastically limit our burning of carbon, they are currently "not profitable." Meanwhile, global climate change threatens humanity's existence everywhere. We are told that this crisis can be solved by changes in personal consumption, yet the world's largest polluter, the Pentagon, is not regulated at all.
  5. Capitalism's latest stage, imperialism, is bringing the misery of exploitation to new heights. For many centuries now, capitalists in Europe and later the US had a major crisis. In order to sell things at a profit, the needed to expand beyond their own countries borders to exploit other people's resources and workers. They also need to buy out their competitors and create monopolies, while coordinating and uniting with the big banks to further develop their wealth. This has caused two imperialist world wars, costing around 100 million lives. Since then, US-NATO wars seem to have no end, costing tens of millions of people their lives.
  6. The 1% has no solutions, just more of the same. Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch, The Koch brothers. What have these rich white men ever done for humanity? Very little, if you ask us, other than to run the government, the media, the military, and the politicians for their benefit. This has caused us, the 99% of humanity, intense suffering. Meanwhile, these billionaires wouldn't exist for one day without us, the workers (this term includes the unemployed, incarcerated, and students).
  7. Socialism would be way better. And we are not talking about Sweden or some capitalist society that has many social welfare programs. Think about if the people controlled the natural resources, the industries, the services, and the government in a way that worked for the needs of the vast majority. We could create a society which is based on the positive values of humanity, such as dignity, respect, love, and solidarity, rather than one based on competition, war, and individual gain. We can create an entirely new society, but it will be a struggle.
  8. We need a united resistance. The first step in replacing the rule of the 1% with the rule of the people is to spark a mass movement. We need all of the creative energy and passion of the billions of working class people to come together, to identify the problem of capitalism, and to forge a new solution.

OK, dammit! Stop hounding me already! You fisters have convinced me! Damn the profits! I'll have those cures - Ebola and lung cancer - for you next Tuesday! All I ask in return is an increase in my exclamation point ration! And an extra pair of underwear - in case one of you fisters gets behind me.

Great Stalin's Ghost - for curing cancer and Ebola you'll get your quota and free Palestine to boot.

The problem is if the free-Palestine crowd get their wish, a lot of cures, especially for cancer, will never happen because they are on a large part being developed by the Zionist occupiers in Israel. No Zionist occupiers, no cures.

In Hamasland, the only cure for all diseases is a suicide belt. If Ebola ever reaches that place, they'll be exploding themselves all over Israel like the fireworks on the 4th of July.

I'm disappointed, comrade Red Square. How are we supposed to denounce Capitalism when FIST has done so so eloquently and with complete abandon of reality and even logical and grammatical sentence structure. They make even less sense than any propaganda I could come up with in a year of meditation on The Party™ dogma. I'm truly disheartened. I feel like my entire purpose of living has been aborted. Even the beet vodka is tasteless, this evening. Sigh.

I got to admit, the spanking lady seemed like she was advertising her own professional services. Either that, or she was representing some less known bureau of the Party. Or both...

The three boys adoring the Cuban revolutionary posed for me willingly and enthusiastically.

By the time I got down to take pictures, the man with Palestinian flags was gone (probably -- into some tunnel). The book glorifying the Palestinian struggle (pictured above) was on sale for only $10.

Alas, these displays give stupidity a bad name. How embarrassing.

User avatar
The problem is that 99% of stupid people give the rest a bad name.

If it wasn't for the 99% of stupid people, The Party™ would have no power.

User avatar
1 percent of Stupid people have 99% of all intelligence.

Bwahahahahaha!!!

Hey commies, I control the superstructure of the state and we've bought and paid everyone you believe in and trust. In the end you're gonna be sold out. We already know everything about you. Revolution is a capitalist created carrot designed to lure you into the open.

Have fun. The show's almost over commies. Capitalism is very much in charge.

It's about time someone offered a rational, practical, progressive way to overthrow the entire worldwide capitalist system and replace it with the entire worldwide population of socialist layabouts, illiterates, children, elderly and SEIU members! I can't wait for the first public town hall meeting when 7,174,611,584 working people gather to throw the 71,746,116 capitalists into the abyss! Has a date been set? Craptek News Service will be there, comrades! Bank Depend on it! Finally, a global news event worthy of my Real Reporter Talents! Oh, happy days!

Yippee! From the river to the sea? All for me? Just for that, maybe I'll even throw in my soooper seekrit AIDS cure that I've been sitting on until the world meets my multi-gazillion dollar price tag.

For the free-Palestine crowd it's not about creating a cure, it's about spreading their disease.
