Marshal Pupovich Confession #1

User avatar
Yes Comrades, Marshal Pupovich has returned yet again, but this time, I must begin with a confession. Oh, before you bloodthirsty comrades jump in to begin demanding some punishment, worthless Show Trial (which of course I would indeed support as they have always been quite profitable to me), or any other sort of disparagement, I must insist that you wait until all of my confessions are forthcoming. For there are at least 2 more to come, but scheduling requires me to begin with this one first. as you will soon see why.

First off, I am sorry I am not present as frequently as before. I simply seem to have slowed down a bit. I dare say it may be due to my COPD, which I must remind lesser minds does not stand for Communist Organizer Personnel Directorate.

Now for my confession comrades. Comrades, I may be guilty of blatant competition and discrimination! But I insist comrades, IT IS NOT MY FAULT! How could one be otherwise when one is assigned to the Baton Rouge Collective? Think about it comrades! I have had to deal with being situated in the virtual capitol of the manly sport of Football!

Even now, I am about to sit down to watch my beloved Fighting Bayou Bengal Tigers of LSU play for the National Championship! For the third time in nine years! Frankly comrades, it has been a magical year. A win tonight would clearly make this LSU Team one of the greatest college football team in history! Even should we lose, I have nothing to hang my head about following an undefeated regular season, SEC championship, all while playing perhaps the toughest schedule of them all. There is discomfort. Clearly OK State most likely should have been chosen as our opponent given the schedule, but alas it was not to be.

This almost feels like a WWE "championship" steel cage bout where the winner (LSU) is holding up their SEC Champion "Belt." Along comes the evil general manager, Vince "BBS" McMahon who announces that he has decided that "Bama" managed to get their foot on the rope, and so orders LSU to climb back in the ring for a second bout! Won't matter! Geaux Tigers! 23 - Bama 10

Then, as if that wasn't enough, here is your loyal Marshal, confronted in the pros with the amazing Who Dat New Orleans Saints! Now I don't know if we are going to win the Super Bowl or not, but clearly we are one of the likely teams to do so. Again, it has been a magical season on their part as well!

So let me conclude with.....

Geaux Tigers!

Who dat? Who dat? Who dat sez dey gonna beat dem Saints? Who dat?

I find myself in the unfamiliar and uncomfortable position of rooting for the Tide against the Tigers. It is quite against nature for a graduate of Auburn Unversity to be in this place.

In that case I shall toast a flagon of People's Beet Vodka to your health.I've been lurking more than I'd like to in the past months; zapping the occasional spambot along the way.I'd like to post more here starting around April. Until then, I owe my soul to The Dark Forces of Violence, Psychosis, And Horror that have impressed me into doing their bidding.Until then,Your Party Mandated Favorite Avian

I didn't know you worked in a public school cafeteria.

No, those are The Dark Forces of Rubbery Cheese Sticks, Chicken Nuggets, and Public-Sector Unions. They're much more terrifying.

Comrade Goose, may I be among the first to tell you that you (and your AK-47 - or is that a 74?) have been missed!

Regardless, we'll see you more in April, or after NextTuesday™, whichever comes first!

Ah. Comrade Betinov, at times I forget that you are one of the only other comrades that can truly understand manly football as practiced in the SEC, and thus the alluring, seductive nature of it that can lead to undesired competitive pursuits. Alas, as you know, I have received any due and just punishment last night. Still, it has been quite a year for me. Actually, I can still maintain that I am in football nirvana when you consider both my Tigers and Saints success this year. Last night was hard to bear, yet despite some "experts" I know that if my Tigers and Bana were to play 10 games in a row, we would most likely split them down the middle. I just feel for my many other comrades that will never understand good football as played in the SEC.

So revel in your adultery with Bama, for I know that we are most likely to be in the Championship game again next year.

Thus, the BCS game was a Socialist morality play, where all were equal, but some happened to be more equal at this instant.

Thank Lenin, it's over and I can go back to despising the elitist capitalists of the University of Alabama, ever the sworn enemies of the peace-loving agricultural and mechanical proletarians of Auburn University.

Pupovich, I applaud your lengthy confession and have a suggestion for confession #2:

I was gone because of Booooooooooooooosh!

Comrade brains in jug, remain alert for the agricultural and mechanical invasion about to occur from Texazistan. Somehow these farmers have been corrupted to the Rethugglikkan point of view, to the point that Bush 41 has his library and school of business there, and Bush 43 shows up now and again too and neither of them get run off or even so much as protested! (I know, it's astonishing....) The SEC will never be the same...

I have often thought that the South Eastern Collective should break away as an independent Socialist Republic....

Comrade Tovarich, I welcome the Texazistan entry into the SEC as I well remember many a year when those comrades would come to Baton Rouge to act as a warm up act for my beloved LSU Tigers. I would smile in amusement as they would stand through the whole game...even though they were usually standing for reasons other than watching their team score, if you catch my drift.

Alas, this has been a horrible week for me. The football gods seemed to have been shining on Louisiana this year, what with LSU and the Saints leading the way. But comrades, when the football gods turn on you.... oh the horror! All in one week to boot! In looking back, I realized that clearly one of my LSU Tigers must have removed some booty from the Alabama locker room that had been forbidden by the gods when we beat them in November. And like the Israeli's were punished for not following the commandments following a victory, we paid the price. But it has been a good year, and actually, my Saints went further than I had expected this year.

The Saints game indeed broke my heart, Pup. They scored too quick in the fourth.
