Obama sells out on tax cuts for the rich

User avatar
Comrades, we have been sold down the river. Obama has betrayed all that we represent: Getting even with the evil rich. He can claim that this deal enabled him to get yet another extension of un-employment benefits, but we all know those would have passed anyway. No, he folded like a cheap lawn chair in the face of Republican thuggery.

And let us not be fooled comrades. Obama can say he wanted to retain the Bush tax cuts for the middle class, but way back when he was running he and Pelosi made it clear that they'd let those tax cuts expire for everyone, no exceptions. Let us not forget that the bourgeois must be destroyed at all cost to solidify our gains. To paraphrase Lenin, the middle class must be ground into oblivion between the millstones of taxation and inflation for Socialism to triumph.

I did however enjoy the angry partisan speech Obama delivered. Normally when a deal like this is struck the President is expected to say nice things about the opposition and compliment their bi-partisanship. Not this time. Obama was seething with rage. Did you notice the vein bulging on his head? That vein wasn't there before as these photos show...

Before the speech.

During the speech.

Image Let us all hope that Obama can avoid having a stroke in his last 2 years in office. And let us hope the Party™ can find someone with a spine to challenge him in 2012.

User avatar
It would be my guess that a stroke will be arranged for our glorious Leader. I was wondering what excuse the followers could use to assist his decision making next year. Most interesting concept.

of course it will be the fault of the Rethuglikkans when this happens. So SOS is what... 3rd in line?

User avatar
Think the matter through, Comrades !

If anything happened to Dear Leader, guess who our new Dear Leader would be.
That's right.....Joe B. And then it would just get better....maybe he could appoint Ms. P or even the MTE as VP.

If you're not scared, you should be.

User avatar
Comrades,

Things are not always as they appear. By "giving in" dear leader was still able to get the basic strategy of "Class Warfare" across as though it were reality. A master stroke of underhanded backhandedness.

User avatar
Dismantling the Bush tax cuts was my raison d'etre. And now this? This is devastating. I'm beside myself. I patiently waited for two years. It was my dream, and now, alas, boo hoo, it's shattered. What a world, what a world. I'm in a total meltdown.

User avatar
Tell me about it Leninka. Those damn Bush tax cuts for the rich are what caused this recession. That was the current truth and now Obama is trying to tell us this is a second stimulus. That it's needed to put America back on a firm footing. If that's true why did he wait until the last minute? And why did it take Republican strong arm tactics to get him to do it?

This whole thing is a repudiation of Keynesian economics. Obama the supply sider.

(I need another drink damn it)

OF COURSE it will be the fault of the filthy capitalist swine!

Senator Jim DeMint just announced on my (Hugh Hewitt's) program that he will oppose the deal as well as a vote for cloture on the deal. He is reluctant to criticize GOP Senate leadership, but believes the deal at a minimum has to be paid for, and that we need “a permanent economy” not a temporary one as well as permanent tax cuts, not temporary tax cuts.

That fruitcake DeMint acts like he's the President!

I don't see what the Democrats are so concerned about.

Weren't they the ones exclaiming how Barack Obama was a bridge to a new age ?

Weren't they the ones who made his Presidency happen ?

At this juncture, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley comes to mind.......

Did she create a lot of roles for Boris Karloff?

User avatar
I am also beside Leninka with madness. We have been waiting and waiting to get our hands on this money and now he turns ***** on us and goes with the Rethuglicans?! I can only imagine that he has some sneaky brilliant, secret plan to foil the greedy capitalist.

User avatar
.....and you all thought I was cheap! LOLZ!
You all will pay for failing ME! ME! ME!

Nobody is concerned. He was practical.

Politicians are mad, maybe it's a feeling of blowing their chance to run the table. They thought their control and the president's popularity would result in everything they wanted.

The house democrats cost him what matters most to him, unparalleled public adulation.

What democrats are upset about (although few will admit it) is that the GOP can't lose in 2 years. The anger in the DNC at the president seems familiar. Hillary will save them...

Well, at last you said something sensible comrade. We made a grave mistake trusting this unknown community organizer. But then his Chicago thugs stole the Primary, locking our beloved MTE's delegates out of the process. We have a chance yet to save the soul of the Party™...

Hillary for President in 2012!

Hillary for President in 2012!

She wants to be begged by those that denied her. Still two steps ahead of her boss. Now we know why she made her statements about this being her swansong.

Sorry I couldn't be here sooner.....Uncle Joe stopped me at the door.

I do believe that, like yourself, most of us who comment here are far more concerned about Hillary than we are about Obama.( Some here refer to her as the M.T.E. My own title for her is Shelob ) What does M.T.E. mean ? Just ask.

I'm more than convinced her ambitions go beyond mere ideologies and ideologues.

Her quest is the acquisition of power.

More than evil? Men take everything? Am I warm?

There is no doubt she's loving this.

Many Tittied Empress. The great cow from which we will all suckle. Producer of the State sponsored milk of human kindness and fairness to all. All will get a free lunch nursing at her nipple.

Hillary's quest for power is exactly what would make her a true centrist. She knows how to not rock the boat. Obama is also an opportunist but a clumsy one at best.

I hear Ralph Nader is now threatening to run against Obama in 2012.

Nader: Obama's a “con man,” hints at indie run in 2012

No good progressive rebellion would be complete without hearing from Ralph Nader, and the two-time presidential candidate and notorious spoiler finally weighed in on the tax deal Barack Obama cut with the GOP. Needless to say, Nader is less than impressed with the President, and demanded a primary challenge from the left to defeat the “con man” currently in the White House. And if one doesn't step forward, well, Nader might pull his campaign out of mothballs and give it one more go himself:

“He has no fixed principles,” Nader said, of Mr. Obama. “He's opportunistic — he goes for expedience, like Clinton. Some call him temperamentally conflict-averse. If you want to be harsher, you say he has no principles and he's opportunistic.”

“He's a con man,” Nader continued. “I have no use for him.”

Nader urged a progressive candidate to challenge Mr. Obama for the presidency in 2012, and said that while he wasn't altogether disallowing the possibility of running himself, it was time for a new progressive leader to step forward.

.

Hahahaha...That's funny.

Agreed.

Obama is simply a pundit who never learned that playing the game is not as easy as sitting in the broadcast booth. Hillary has played the game most of her life.

It was a classic Clinton tactic to say she will "probably go back to advocacy work". Isn't that Obama's entire resume? That's her idea of entry level and retirement.

Love 'em or hate 'em the Clintons are calculating masters of political games.

User avatar
And now I see Obama storm off while Bill is the one the press wants to hear from. And doesn't he look like he feels at home?

aaaaakkk. That made me spit up my vodka. Ralph Nader. Now there is a man's man. He is full of vigor and lives to save the environment and punish evil capitalist. I am thinking he should run for president one day. Comrade Scratchy, that is a most scary imagery. How could voters even think of burning the jackass. Why, that is like getting rid of Democrats, is it not?!

Nooo fraulein. The voters have merely elevated the Democrats above all others. See?

Didn't Obama look weak and pathetic standing there while Big Bubba took charge? White massa come to save the day. I really got a thrill up my leg when the press corps started asking Clinton about his efforts to restore order in Haiti. You could tell the press was nostalgic for the days when we had an adult for a President.

I'm sure many who watched that spectacle asked themselves why they didn't vote for Hillary in the first place.

I've never seen a self inflicted political implosion like this before.

This must be like Christmas for you guys.

Comrades,

suggestion for a name change:

Instead of the "M" standing for Many, it should be "Multiple" TE.

definition: many times more; having many parts; having numerous access points;

This is only a suggestion and nothing personal. Whatever the collective thinks is best!

I return to the beet fields.

Maybe we should all start referring to Dear Leader as Poor Dear Leader? I had to turn away, I couldn't bare to watch...
