Was a chokehold really necessary when quick heart punch would've done the trick?

Bernie Goetz would ask that same question.

The folks at not the bee had a different question:

I think the answer is -- now it is a psychopathic deranged wacko that is a politically useful tool  an innocent Amish Michael Jackson impersonator.

The pacifist protesters are aggressive and threatening, just like the mentally ill Neely. Seems that too much mental instability per city block is dangerous to The Collective’s safety and wellbeing.

I worked in New York's Upper West Side in the late 1970s when some genius decided to close down mental hospitals and release the patients. That's when the "homeless crisis" began. Lunatics and imbeciles were suddenly out in the public everywhere.

Over 45 years of the general public expected  to sympathize with and tolerate lunatics on the streets and now the same sort of liberals who caused the problem are outraged that public patience has run out.

If NYC is the safest large city, what are the rest like? It's a time when I'm happy to be in the safety of the beet fields. The only thing one needs to worry about there is being run over by a slow moving tractor driven by someone who has imbibed a little too much beet vodka on their breakfast wheaties.
