No one needs to eat fish. No one needs to eat meat. No one needs to eat their vegetables. All we really need is love and kisses and a cute cartoon world to skip and jump and run around. All you really need to eat is ice cream and candy. And in that spirit PETA has built a sort of gingerbread house of ideas. Come on in kids!
Fish are the new cute kitties. Create and name your own:

People's Cube, meet my sea kitty Lunch. Lunch, meet the People's Cube. Lunch is a tuna and...
Hey! Who took my lunch!

Ooo! I made mine. He's called "Sushi" and he's ready for a power lunch with his business jacket and trendy fumanchu facial hair (that shows that he's still really cool despite the fact that he went and got a job).

My dear Lord...and these idiots want anybody to take them seriously? I like the way their software is set up as well. You can add anything you want to your fish (well, anything that they think is appropriate) and put it anywhere you want on your fish (well, that is, anywhere they decided was correct) so you can be creative within politically acceptable parameters.

Surely this is the most vapid thing on the face of the earth--excepting of course Algore's An Inconveniently Obvious Lie.

Recently the Animals for The Ethical Treatment of Humans managed to free some humans from captivity and turned them loose into the wilds of the forest. None of the humans survived but at least they enjoyed one bright shining moment of freedom.

We should adopt German's rules. I believe it is thus: if you have one dog you have by law to play with it two hours a day. If you have two dogs you only have to play with them one hour a day.
I assume that these are canine dogs, and not the German women who think that shaving is an indication of being a prostitute.

Comrades,
Seemingly every city, town, and village in Japan has a public or private aquarium to keep people in touch with their pelagic past (and present). Hey, Whales-R-Us, baby!
The point of this feeble comment is that it's not unremarkable to visit an aquarium and hear fellow visitors say, "Oishisou!" (It looks tasty!).
But whale meat, frankly, it sucks. I expect, however, it tastes better when fortified with Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior crew. I keep wishing the Icelandic, Norwegian, or Japanese military would open fire and sink it after discovering a regrettable shortage of lifesavers aboard but a curious supply of leaden loops roughly the same size and colour.

Father Prog Theocritus
Tovarich, I seldom say good things about the French, but they did sink the original Rainbow Warrior.
I would suggest that the fishing ships, which are factories too, which ply the Bering Sea might use their huge factory to make some Long Pig Sticks, to be sold in Guinea.

Theo,
That has triggered a brain cell that probably survived a bit too much nitrous oxide inhalation (What are whipped cream chargers for, after all?). It was when they did their last round of atomic testing in the Pacific, non?

Ah yes, the Greenpeace fleet is very popular with the denizens of the Amerikan Siberia. Why, back in 2003, they could not find a docking slip in Juneau. Everyone else, in their enthusiasm to be in the same harbor as the Arctic Sunrise (or even have the rare privilege of being the one to dock next to them, to enjoy the fragrance of patchouli and hummus sweated from their pores) had taken every available slip.
And the seafaring hippies, overwhelmed by such a reception, showed their solidarity with the state known for its oil industry by pouring out a
waste-oil libation withou tfiling with the DEC.

Greenpeace is killing the Sea Kittens? Oh no!
PETA ought to include a Greenpeace oil slick as part of the Sea Kitten ensemble.

OK, 7.62, I think you are the grand
winner loser here. That is grotesque beyond words.
Happily, my
Daddy has a way of dealing with that.
Forget Daddy. I've killed enough salmon to earn me the permanent enmity of PETA. For example:

35-lb King, baby, caught with a dipnet, and beat to death with a rock! Then dangled on a stringer threaded through its gills for several hours, and nonchalantly given to some neighboring fishers as a wedding present!

Comrades,
M.O.D.'s lone C&W tune "Clubbin' Seals" (
probably bogus/infectious download link), complete with "yee-haws," really needs to be on PETA's hit list. It starts something like this:
Let's go way up north
And grab a case of beer
'Cause what we like to do for fun
Cain't be done down here
I got the bumper sticker
On the back of my four wheels:
"I don't care what you like to do,
I'd rather be clubbin' seals!"
Yee-haw!
The song even includes a section about whether people would prefer the seals starve to death (from overpopulation) instead. Sadly it doesn't seem to be on the
MOD MySpace page(s).
When time for the Passion/fashion (not clear) comes
You'll know where I'll be:
Killin' defenseless animals.
Listen while I sing!
Actually, MOD did do a fine heavy metal cover of the theme song to
Bonanza, too.

To use the famous line from Robocop:
I LIKE IT!
or was it
I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!
1/27/2009, 10:45 pm
Comrade_Tovarich
Oh, it was both from one of the most entertaining movies made. I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out and for a boy that age, ain't nothin' finer! Well, zombie movies come pretty close.
If a new version is made, I can see the second line being transformed to: "I'd buy that with your dollar!"
And, nothing personal of course, I would, comrade.
