Now the seats getting empty
As our toadies take the stage
Stack it up and pack it down
They're the first to talk and first to lie
Pushing for that minimum wage
Then set it up to another town
Tonight the obots started fine
Hearing all our lies
And then they got up on their feet
They hit the doors
It once was sweet
But I can hear the sound
Of slamming doors and folding chairs
And that's a sound I never knew
They once ignored the millions now on food stamps
And the jobless in homeless Obama camps
'Cause when it came to hearing me
You know, you guys once were champs
But as the last speaker that's heard today
You know that I still want to lie
So just make sure you got it all set to go
'fore you get my teleprompter
But the gang's on the bus
And they're waiting to go
We've got to drive all night
A fund raiser in Chicago or Detroit, I don't know
So many fund raisers in a row
And these towns all look the same
We just pass the time in the hotel rooms
And snort coke 'round backstage
Till those lights come up and we hear that crowd
And we remember why we came
Now we got the War on Women on the bus
Fake scandals, we got IRS attacks TEA Party in stereo
We've got Get Out Vote and other schemes
We've got Matthews on the TV
And we've got Obamacare on our videos
We got time to think of our jobs we love
While the miles roll away
But the only time that seems too short
Is the time that we get to lie
People you've got the power over what we do
You sit there in silence
Or you can pull us through
Come along, hear the lies
even though you know it's wrong
'Cause when that morning sun comes beating down
You're going to wake up in your town
But we'll be down road with your money
A thousand miles away from here
Obots stay
Just a little bit longer
We want to lie
Just a little bit bigger
The teleprompter don't mind
And the unions don't mind
If you'll take leave of your mind
And leave the truth behind, and hear
One more lie
Oh, won't you hear
Just another lie longer?
Please, please, please
Say you will, say you will
Oh, won't you hear
Just another lie longer?
Oh please, please stay
Just a little bit more
The teleprompter don't mind
And the obots don't mind
If you'll take leave of your mind
And leave the truth behind, and hear
One more lie
