I remember when I was a little boy, a drunken Kennedy drove a car off a bridge
I'll never forget the look on my father's face when he said, "He'll do 7 years hard time for that"
He knew that bridge was a hazard, but he drove on it anyway and a girl died
Then he swam away and didn't alert the cops, who might have saved her
But then, when there was no jail time and he kept his Senate seat,
I said to myself, "Is that all there is to manslaughter?"

And then when I was a little older, my father told me about Lewinsky
The most ridiculous scandal ever
There was a President, the Oval Office, and a kneeling intern
Who had a pretty face and blue dress who blew the guy, "giving head"
And as I watched him lie to a Court and on TV
I had a feeling he was going to skate
I dont know why but when he got off Scot free
I said, "Is that all there is to Presidential perjury?"

Then I fell for THE ONE, the most intelligent president ever
He would ask for $800 billion dollars to stimulate the economy
And he would talk for hours about all these shovel ready jobs
I so very much wanted to see employment figures rise
Then one day, he joked "I guess the jobs weren't so shovel ready after all"
I thought his Presidency would die, but it didn't
And when he got re-elected, I said
"Is that all there is to Stimulus Fraud"

Your most excellent lyrics engulfed me with sublime visions of existence beyond the glory of Next Tuesday. For a moment I glimpsed utopia in which Everything Meant Nothing and Nothing Meant Everything....then the whole thing cratered in a sputtering meltdown....it's this New Green Deal fuel running through a pre-catalytic converted mind. Jiffy-Lobo is first thing on Jackalopelipsky's To Do List.
