Trying to win majority in Senate with Republican candidates not suitable for McConnell’s purposes was just a form of Republican Thanksgiving loss leader advertising.

Yea, old Mitch will continue to percolate from a safe environment with romantic lighting and soft pillows next to a crackling fireplace, occasionally nodding in sincere concern for everyone’s suffering while throwing Americans under the bus as he has done for many years because that is how the Good Ol' Boys in the Old Party™ operate. Look, when you look at the big picture, I am sure that sending in a rather resourceful group of Democrats that liberated Americans from the effects of hanging chads and established the glorious technical achievements of voter machine malfunctions, and realized that fighting off Republican wins could also be accomplished by sharing some amusing political anecdotes dolled out as tasty treats sprinkled by sugary media spin doctors. You have to admit, it was a truly successful operation.
