An open letter to Google from the People's Cube
Dear Messrs. Brin and Page:
Another Inadvertent Victim:
A Maoist US Professor Censored by Google China

Being an avowed unabashed Maoist, Professor Kurgman realized that revolution required a certain measure of sacrifice - yet he wasn't prepared to be among the proverbial eggs that get broken to make the historically inevitable omelet. He was crushed by the discovery that Google China had filtered out his progressive blog.
See his Open Letter to President Hu and The Communist Party of China, in which he tries to open their eyes to the terrible mistake.
As one Maoist to another, the professor assures the Chinese President that he is ashamed to be an American and respects the Chinese government's decision to protect its people from the fascist assaults of unfiltered Google searches.
Therefore, Professor Kurgman is asking that Google China reinstates his blog, allowing Chinese readers to be enlightened through his writings about the filthy culture of profits and racism of corporate America.

There has been, however, a misunderstanding of sorts, which we must point out to you. To wit - where is this page?
When a search is conducted for "People's Cube" in the new Google China, the results are completely irrelevant. According to your product the People's Cube doesn't exist! Don't get us wrong, we fully approve of your absolutely correct Orwellian revisionism when it comes to such running-dog capitalist organs as Front Page Magazine or National Review Online - they deserve to be erased from history and the people's minds. But why the People's Cube?
As you are well aware, we are in the forefront of progressive thinking, and certainly deserve to be listed. We are undoubtedly a great source of inspiration to the Chinese People and the Party. We are certain that if you brought this to the Party's attention, they would vouch for us and insist that we be the very first result.
Please be assured that we are big Google fans, especially in light of your company's recent decision to resist the United States Government's requests for assistance in tracking down so-called "child pornographers." As we all know, beastiality, incest, and pedophilia are natural human tendencies, often occurring among the broad-minded, progressive individuals who are not criminals. The only criminals are in the White House, and we are gratified that Google is taking a principled stand against this truly oppressive government.
May we also suggest that the Chinese guidelines be applied to the rest of your international search sites? For example, in the United States, when a Google search is done on "liberty," the American Civil Liberties Union does not even appear in the results! Instead, the first result is for a fundamentalist Baptist University! Doesn't that give you second thoughts about your company's ability to conduct first-rate searches? Certainly, the guiding hand of a benevolent government can vastly improve your services everywhere. We think it would be prudent for you to request that the Communist Party of China provide Google with all international search guidance.
In solidarity,
The People's Cube
