In the ongoing campaign to battle gun violence, and ensure only authorized agents of The State(TM) are in possession of guns, Michael Bloomberg has announced that his anti civil rights organization grassroots coalition for common sense gun reform, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, will be travelling to Syria and offering Starbucks gift cards in exchange for guns currently held by rebel forces there.

"This is precisely why we need common sense gun confiscation and control" a MAIG spokesperson is quoted as saying.

"I mean, just look at the situation over there. These terrorists are using guns to try and overthrow their legitimately established government. This sort of violence has torn their nation apart and killed far too many people. It's time we put a stop to this. We are certain as soon as the Syrian rebels are shown the error of their ways, they will voluntarily surrender their guns and rocket launchers in exchange for $25 Starbucks gift cards. This is a proven technique, and has reduced gun violence in New York City, Chicago, and Washington DC," he said.
