An inside source reveals the secret behind ObamaCare's big success, described in the upcoming documentary This is Obama Tap.
Kathleen Sebelius: "Yes. Let me show you this. You see our dials? These are ObamaCare dials. We had them made just for ObamaCare. Nobody else has dials like this. The private market doesn't have dials like this. See that?"
MM: "Umm... All the dials go up to 'Affordable.'"
KS: "That's right! ObamaCare dials go from '1' all the way up to 'Affordable.' Everyone else has dials that go from '1' to '10.' Obamacare dials go all the way up to affordable."
MM: "Ummm... But..."
KS: "So when someone needs health insurance we dial it up to affordable. That's how we keep costs down for everyone. ObamaCare dials go all the up to affordable."
MM: "But ObamaCare uses the highest setting. I don't understand how that's affordable."
KS: "It's affordable because when the dials are all set to 'Affordable' the person doesn't pay the actual price! Most of their insurance gets paid for by the government. People with incomes up to 400% of the poverty level get tax credits to pay for their ObamaCare! And then there's all the people with special wavers and other privileges."
MM: "In light of all the externalities of ObamaCare, how it kills jobs because employers can't have full time workers so they have to reduce their employees to part time work, and it robs people that can't get special political privileges, like the self-employed, so they have to pay astronomical prices for their insurance under ObamaCare, and then there's the terrible price to personal liberty. Saying as you do that the price of insurance has become affordable because the government is now picking up the tab and your machine figures out the price a person pays based on what is obviously just political considerations is really insulting. ObamaCare just dials the price all the way up. Ultimately, that cost has to be paid by someone. How do you explain that?"
KS: [long pause] "ObamaCare dials go all the up to affordable."
