Vladimir Putin is extending the reach of the Russian Bear. He is ordering reconnaissance flights of the Gulf of Mexico to "locate Ukrainian enclaves" in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and Mexico. (not even Ukrainian peasants want to send their children to public schools in Mississippi)

Barack Obama continues his "Golf Around the World" tour and is unavailable for comment.

The key word is "reconnaissance."

Reconnaissance is the military term for exploring beyond the area occupied by friendly forces to gain vital information about enemy forces or features of the environment for later analysis and/or dissemination.
