As we recollect the things the People's Pope did when visiting the United States, we need to remember that some of these things are not truly in line with our beliefs.

This is a trick to make it look like he really cared for the poor, but it is a underlying message he really cared for the catholic organizations. These organizations fought against paying for abortions in their insurance.
Another mention was the Pope's name drop of Dorothy Day. She is a good socialist, is she? No, she is not in good standing. Not only did she sympathize with anarchists, she was also an anti-abortionist. That means she was just as bad as any of the knuckle-dragging, far-right Republican Neanderthals.
The Pope focuses mostly on the family aspect, in contrast with our beliefs that the most important thing in people's lives is the State. Everyone knows that we need to worry about community rather than bringing up families.
In the end, Pope Francis tricked us in believing that he is our People's Pope of Communism. But if he were, where are our sleepers? They should have woken up by now.
