Comrades! The Glorious World of Next Tuesday is now closer. In a recent open letter to the Kalifornia Air Resources Board (CARB), a group of prominent red green investors and advocates including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, former eBay President Jeff Skoll, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune, Carl Pope of Inside Straight Strategies, and SolarCity CEO Lyndon Rive recommended a Glorious solution to the recent Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal.
Rather than force VW to pay fines to the State and modify existing vehicles to pass current emission standards, the group of 45 signatories urged instead that VW be required to invest these funds in a new research and design center for electric cars to be located in Kalifornia.
In a triumph of central planning over greedy capitalists who ignore the needs of the people, CARB would benevolently redirect VW's product line away from cars of the bourgeois to cars more suited to the people's needs, and the beet fields.
Imagine in The Glorious World of Next Tuesday, the proletariat will have cars whose features are mandated by the state to better suit their needs.
Truly a world without scarcity or want is coming in The Glorious World of Next Tuesday.
