I recently contacted a former boyfriend through Facebook, for whom I have no negative feelings. As it happens, neither does he. We had a great time when we were young and clueless.

He is a Bernie fan! What should I do now? I have lost so many friends who have assumed, even though my life actions tell it differently, that I am a racist, homophobe, greedy right-wing fanatic, because I love our Constitution.

I have already given countless links and opinions to my liberal friends, only to be told that i was indulging in “fear mongering” and they, duly deleted all of my links, and told me so.

I'd like to tell him what I think. Maybe he'll listen, I hope. My experience tells me things will turn 180 and fast. Is it a loss? Well, yeah, I suppose it is either way. Sad.

My upper lip needs some cosmetic surgery. It needs to get “stiffer.”

This should clarify the situation. Self-defense is not a crime.

Comrade Pamalinsky, first of all, I object to the term “liberal friends”. Haven't we as a society evolved past using stereotyping these types of labels? Well, just because he thinks Bernie is his savior doesn't mean he is entirely a loss. Look, you have to remember that given the right set of circumstances, any of us could just cut off someone's head off while they're still alive and then post videos of it on the internet. It's not an Islam thing or people who are highly radioactive. Quite certainly, it doesn't make any of us monsters but rather just makes us different. We must embrace our differences as these are the most important things we can nurture. While I usually like to maintain a certain level of decorum, the important thing to do is impart the golden boogers of wisdom slowly. Remember, think about the chance to place an investment into the future, one that will be paid back tenfold with warm thanks for pointing out that progressive solutions don't work. However, in the event that using logic and reason cannot persuade, give him the number of South African sign language sign interpreter Francois Deysel, who was at the Mandela memorial to explain.

Pam: The democrats aren't so different from us. We looked the other way for so long as the Republicans we elected consistently disappointed. In 2010, we had an awakening, and now we realize that we can damage even the Boehners and Cantors of the world. The Dems are just now awakening, and they're stuck with the unfortunate, limited choice between Clinton and Sanders. Sanders hasn't been screwing them over for 30 years because he's a nobody, and that's a huge chunk of his appeal. Probably your best angle is that less government gives the Clintons, and even people on our side, less ability to screw him over.

I agree 100%, dear Lev, I'm waiting, I guess, for the tipping point, even though I know it's already here. I'm scared. I will respond though and I don't think it will be too late.

Obama has already made it clear that it's open season on America. It is so difficult to convey this to those who choose to deny this reality. There are so many layers of conscience and reality to go through. It's an uphill battle, I'm afraid. Maybe not. I will always keep on keeping on. Yes, I will!

I agree with your objection to the term “liberal friends”. An oxymoron. I'm just trying to explain my wonderful conversations with them, where they actually displayed things like “thinking, other viewpoints, etc”. As soon as the subject turned to politics. Things changed. big time.

I already know that, for Islamists, it's open season on America, with the assistance of our current president! Golden boogers of wisdom don't seem to cut it. They just don't believe this. Don't want to.

Even the sign language interpreter, Francoise Dessel, will not mitigate their viewpoint. Nothing will.

Well, since they're liberal friends, apply liberal amounts of truth. If they can't take it then say they aren't truly liberal and recommend the CPUSA to them. If they try to pull a no true scotsman on you then they're racist and don't deserve your attention.

I agree, and I mentioned that because of inherent corruption in government, less of it would be good. Less government=less corruption.

I love how Bernie stands up for the worker. I mean, why should all of those rich people have all that money? Shouldn't we all get some of it? And of course it figures that said rich people are usually conservatives, who are really stingy and hate poor people anyway. I USED to be conservative, it's something I'm not particularly proud of, but whenever I started following Bernie, I started seeing that my former opinions were wrong. heck, now I want to jail conservatives, even put them in concentration camps!

And, to be honest with you, I also hate America now. I hate it's filthy war over money and oil, it's filthy money, and most of all, it's horrid Constitution and Bill of Rights. Why should we have rights? Why shouldn't the government tell us what we can and can't do on a day-to-day basis? I say that the Constitution and Bill of Rights be outlawed and removed from the government, it deserves to have as much power as it wants. Liberty? Who needs it, I don't!

And another thing about Bernie is that I like that he's for equality. I believe in equality, heck, I believe in equality SO MUCH that I think that those who are privileged over another group should be punished. And I don't mean this just in race or sexuality, I think that it should be extended to religion as well. I think that all Christians and everybody that isn't Muslim should be suppressed and restricted, because Islam is the new true faith, and every other religion hates it. Muslims should also be able to kill anybody they want, if they can't then they're being suppressed religiously and that's Islamophobic.

Oh my goodness, thinking these thoughts brings back so many memories. I can remember when I used to study the Soviet Union and Islam back in college (Act like it, BS it, even photoshop fake documents if you have to), I used to DREAM of being in bread lines and famines and I actually wore a burka for a little while. And then I became homeless (again, BS it) and I got to live my dream. I used to wait for hours outside of soup kitchens, I was hungry all the time. It felt so good, even though I was starving. I wish I could have that back. And I know that I could just spend all my money and become poor again, but the laws won't allow me to live the life I used to live. Plus, how can I donate money to Bernie when I'm poor? No, I want EVERYBODY to be poor.

I used to fume and steam at rich people in skyscrapers, and I wanted their money. I wouldn't become rich myself, I'd donate it all back to the government, but I just wanted to have them live my life that I lived on the streets. Those lines and that hunger were so good even though they hurt because we were united in our hunger! And you and me are united in hunger for revolution! And that's what will come from Bernie - Revolution!

I want revolution so badly. Just like the Soviet Union had a revolution, WE can have a revolution. the USSR was so great, it was a utopia! Everybody was happy, the hunger lines which united us were everywhere, and they even had uniting labor for many hours. They even sent people who didn't agree with the government to camps, doesn't that sound exciting!? Imagine that, and entire country full of Bernie supporters, that's what you can get if you do that kind of stuff! Don't you want the entire country to support Bernie, I know I do.

And the way the government just ruled over the people and didn't give them any choices, that's what I love the most! I don't like having all these choices, it makes life so hard. But if we were to make laws that outlawed choice, our lives would be so much easier! Or, maybe we can have the government make all our choices for us! Yeah, that's what'll be the best! Zero choice for us and we get to be totally loyal to the government all day and night. Actually, now that I think of it, the Soviet Union actually did practice the idea of government making the choices, and it worked out fantastically!

It's a shame that dumb idiot Reagan had to go and make the USSR collapse. I felt so sad the day that it collapsed, I still feel said when I think about it. I wish that we could have the Soviet Union again, I'd go there in a heartbeat. I want to work endlessly in the fields and mines, I want to be harassed and mistreated if I don't obey the government, I want to be totally ruled by the government.

I hate having choices, I HATE HATE HATE having them. I want to be controlled, I want to be used. Not for capitalist means, but for revolutionary Communist means! I want to help Communist Revolution come to the US, and that's why I'm voting for Bernie! We can create the New Soviet Union here, the New-SSR if you will. We already have the poverty rate low enough for collective labor to begin flawlessly, we just need to take down the banks and the corporations. And that's what Bernie will do, he'll tear down the banks that the corporations and build on their carcasses a new, glorious, healthy society. It will be the best one that will ever be seen!

Komrade Bernie must win! He must win for us and for the future! Komrade Bernie is the one true savior of the world! Komrade Bernie is the best politician ever to exist and ever will exist! I didn't know there was such a collection of Al "Sharp as a plastic knife" Sharpton making a fool of himself. It's bookmarked now.

And lemme give you a tip. Usually on discussion boards if I'm referencing something that might not be known to the intended reader I'll either A) asterik it and put a notice in smaller type down at the bottom, or more commonly, B) link to the source material using the word or phrase that is being quoted. Or I'll try to make the error REALLY obvious and/or try to frame it as being part of the post. I'll do various other things along with it if I feel it needs it for clarification, but I'll hold off talking about those for brevity and the fact that it'd take me a LONG time to think of most of them. I've mostly never had problems and have only had to explain things to those persons who are denser than depleted uranium or thought they were on one topic when they were on another.

The things you learn when you're on the internet and you hate to explain yourself more than you have to...
