WASHINGTON DC - Obama has signed an executive order designating March as Leprechaun History Month, for the first time making this oppressed race have some deserved recognition.
Throughout history humans mistreated our leprechaun comrades, dressing them up in green, stereotyping them, and targeting them with hateful and racist rhetoric. Human oppressors called them liars, con-artists, thieves, butchers, and may other unfair names.
The humans always find excuses for their own stealing from the leprechaun collection and redistribution pot, saying it does not belong to their kind. Some racist anti-leprechaun individuals even set leprechaun traps out of sheer greed. During all these altercations, leprechauns never got a day in court, nor did they ever get the legal representation they deserved.
That is why they deserve a month dedicated to the history of their suffering. It takes thirty-one days a year to make a statement for leprechauns, and they deserve it.
The way to celebrate their heritage is to fly the leprechaun flag and march in as many parades dedicated to them as it is indicated in the President's executive order.
