Part of the original Star Trek series, The Menagerie tells the story of a Star Fleet captain whom a cunning alien race tricks into living with a hideous woman by creating an illusionary reality, in which they are both healthy, beautiful, and romantic.
The 2016 remake of this story by DNC Studios premiered at the Democratic Convention last night, with an updated plot, in which the same illusion expands to the entire audience: the viewers see the hideous woman, played by Hillary Clinton, as healthy, beautiful, and romantic, while her partner, played by Bill Clinton, has always seen her for what she really is but continues to play along out of habit and for the sake of convenience.
Special thanks to Comrade Hud for sending the pictures.

The Menagerie makes for a very good take on socialism itself. Spend the rest of your life in a zoo cage where all of your biological needs are taken care of - forgo living the life of a fully realized Man. Trade having a life for simply being alive in the animal sense. No self governance needed or allowed. Just life as an animal in the cage.
It is the temptation written about in ancient epics - give up your life Aeneid and you can stay here on my island with me for eternity... or you can go your way and live free like a Man but only be mortal.

Where Will The Loving Couple Sleep?
Comrades,
It has crossed my tiny mind that when the MTE, Chillary, moves into the White House she will most likely spend her sleepy-times in the Master Bedroom. This bedroom has been re-arranged many times over the years to accommodate our various presidents and will likely be altered again for the next president.
Question: Will the room look anything like the above photo from 1981 when Reagan was president? Or, will it be outfitted with a pair of widely separated single, or even bunk beds for the MTE and her reluctant mate?
I contend that the question be posed during the upcoming debates. All those in favor say aye.

It'll be a concrete room, with bars on the windows, and two corrugated cardboard pads about the size of a twin bed. There'll also be tie-off points on the walls and naval capstans bolted to the floor for ropes and chains, Bill's a kinky guy.

Not so fast!
Here's the real deal:
“Where is it I've read that someone condemned to death says or thinks, an hour before his death, that if he had to live on some high rock, on such a narrow ledge that he'd only room to stand, and the ocean, everlasting darkness, everlasting solitude, everlasting tempest around him, if he had to remain standing on a square yard of space all his life, a thousand years, eternity, it were better to live so than to die at once. Only to live, to live and live! Life, whatever it may be!” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Crime and Punishment
Die in a Bill Ayes' firing squad or live your life on that ledge.

The promised life of temptation never fits the reality. That's why it takes wisdom to resist. Wisdom seems to be in short supply. Most people succumb to the eternal temptation of Man. Live the life of an animal in a safe cage provided by others or like a Man. And so, the fate of fools: Venezuela Socialist Government Adopts Forced Labor Law

They've come full circle. We used to have forced labor here, but poverty did the "forcing," not government.
It's so much "kinder" when the government does it.

Her robot brain must've shorted for a few seconds.
A technique employed by stage actors to project their sometimes anemic emotional expressions deeper into the audience. I believe the korrekt term is over-acting.

I wonder if this movie will have a reprise of this number from her 1996 breakout hit "Campaign". If so, I hope they hire a better choreographer this time.
