One can't overestimate the importance of image branding. Hitler lost the war because of a weak branding strategy that failed to inspire and retain the sympathies of the world community. In spite of the best efforts by the Nazi Reich Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, the Hitler brand was mostly associated with such trigger words as war, evil, destruction, violence, aggression, racism, bigotry, slavery, oppression, and death.

Since then the science of branding and public relations has progressed exponentially, helping the most disadvantaged candidates to win in the court of public opinion by hiring the best political technologists money can buy. Those who would otherwise have a hard time retaining loyalty and support even from their mothers, can now easily become influential leaders, start and win wars, or take over the world if they so desire, as long as their brand has been correctly marketed to evoke such key words and phrases as peace, tolerance, diversity, togetherness, inclusiveness, multiculturalism , international friendship, building bridges, raising awareness, and strengthening communities.

Comrade Red Square. We appreciate the equal context you provide to our communal musings. Would it be possible to start a Crowd Funding project? The Hall of Fame for Murderous Dictators whose hearts were in the right place? These unfairly maligned social justice warriors must be defended against our Right Wing Oppressors' distorted view of history. This may already exist in the People's Archives. Maybe it is time for brick and mortar. We could call it Pol's Pot . . . maybe not.

With this thought in mind, this Prole must wonder, why, oh why our friends from The Religion Of Peace ™, ISIS, did not take the obvious opportunity to claim responsibility for the temporary disappearance of the sun during the most racist eclipse ever.

We must take note of the most excellent propaganda opportunities lost, through neglect of little details that could have become huge media events if broadcast on CNN during prime time viewing hours.

Let us take to heart this lesson and continue in our progress.

Just last Friday, here in Munich, a (brainy) guy was sentenced - 6 months in jail, on 3.5 years probation - for a Facebook post of his.
(The case ain't over. The guy - Herr Stürzenberger¹, call him Mr. S - will appeal.)

So, what was Mr. S' inhuman, intolerable, downright Nazistic and hatefully RRRAAAAAcist crime?
Timeline :

Our Alpen-Pravda (aka Süddeutsche Zeitung, kinda NYT of Germany, Munich-based) prints - hyh? - Hakenkreuz und Halbmond, read: Swastika and Crescent, about the well - yet not broadly - known mutual admiration & deep collaboration of top Nazi ranks with top Muslim apparat of that time. The essay - not in-depth, yet correct - includes this (likely best known) representation of the Nazi-Hitler-Mufti-Islam romp :



Now, Mr. S wrote a (positive) review of the Pravda essay, in PI-News (PI for Politically Incorrect²). Along with citations from the essay, Mr. S also commented on some - coyly withhold - explicit ideological affinities of the Nazi & Islam top circles in those days. This done, Mr. S posted in FB an excerpt of his piece and a link thereto. Plus a pic (one of those in his article) :

Dear comrade! Thank you for making a proper adjustment to kollektive groupthink. The Current Truth has now been modified to include your suggestions. A corresponding Laika Headline has been issued in the right-hand sidebar to say, "ISIS claims responsibility for a total solar eclipse over the lands of American crusaders and nonbelievers," accompanied by the following TV announcement.

Excuse me, comrades, but surely you know that just because ISIS claims responsibility for something, doesn't mean they did it! The claim hasn't even been verified, but who wants to waste time and resources on something like that? Especially when it's so obvious that Trump's hateful, violent rhetoric is the direct cause that I shouldn't even have to explain how it is, therefore I won't—except to say I have it from some extremely reliable, anonymous sources.

In the meantime, our Muslim friends must now brace for the inevitable Islamophobic backlash that always follows in the wake of these things.
