A letter circulated among members of fraternities and sororities at Tufts University warns that school officials have promised campus police investigations for anyone “wearing an offensive costume” this Halloween season.
In the letter obtained by The College Fix, Tufts dean of student affairs Mary Pat McMahon criticizes students who don objectionable Halloween garb for making “others in our community feel threatened or unsafe” and for conduct “that is offensive or discriminatory.
Costumes that include dreadlocks, afros, or representations of “an entire culture,” or which “trivialize human suffering, oppression, and marginalization,” are immediately suspect, according to the poster. It appears to rule out mad scientists, prisoners or homeless people as costume subjects.
I bought this and sent it to a guy in Dearborn that I don't like very much. Was this insensitive of me then?

Goat Costume.jpg
In Dearborn, it might be considered a friendly invitation. However, as a white costume, it could also be perceived as white supremacist. Dye it black or brown, and it might be either racist or cultural appropriation (check all that apply). But in any case, it appears to be species appropriation, does it not?

I very nearly hit the quad-fecta. If I had only made it gender specific.......
I denounce myself and the gender neutral sex toy pictured above.

This Halloween decoration is permitted as inoffensive because the persons depicted here represent the privileged white class of oppressors.
Someone has also suggested this "Harvey Weinstein" Halloween costume, which may be good to address sexism and male chauvinism, but can be construed as offensive to potted plants.

How grotesque, uh, I mean, progressive! And inclusive! And de-microaggressing!
As in this (generic!) scheme of Korrektifying the Unkorrektifiedness:
(here a quick insight into that path of cultural decline, with a nice glimpse into the glorious history of Amiland's early cartoon cinema.)
P.S. Market niche (fast buck to make!): Weinstein-costume!
P.P.S. Oops, Red Square already dug into that niche. Comrade Director, am I right in the assumption: the depicted flowerpot has to be carried, but in no hands mode?

Here is another appropriate set of Halloween costumes teaching the young Socialists the proper relationship between the citizen and the government.

Hmm... Speciesistically somewhat inconclusive. Lower paws seem like Ursa sibiriensis. Upper crown more like meh-eh-eh-eh.
So, it depends, Comrade Ursa.
In any case it would be insensitive if the guy introduces himself as maya yest' Chukcha.
P.S. With IPCC-grade modelling, and after tons of calculations, now I see: Dearborn strongly correlates with goat. Uh-oh. Model says: "Strange sounds, including 'akbar', approaching".

Can we imagine a comradette so sweetly endowed
as to be capable of this here uber-botanic rephrasing? :
Is it Einstein's gravitational waves or are you just happy to see me?

I see the Bill Clinton Harvey Weinstein more like this. Thoughts, ideas? My gut tells me that this has the potential to appear sexist and insensitive to those who are mammarily challenged.

My Dear Genosse - I have a question for you...
Who did the kollective recently send to Kraków to pick up a tractor for us off of Craiginskis' List™?
We may have our own 'Harvey the Weinstein' problem!

I was thinking of costuming self like effeminate drunk Indian burning a Koran while eating a rare steak with a dot on the forehead wearing a MAGA hat all the while in blackface. It is greatest of my hopes that costume will be appreciated as the monument of multiculturalism I wish it to be.

Universities across the country are once again encouraging students to think twice about their costume choices this Halloween, promoting the yearly “culture not a costume” campaign.
The "We're a Culture Not a Costume" campaign was started by Ohio University students in 2011, and has since spread to schools across the country. This year, Towson University and DePauw University are among those promoting the effort.
In the meantime, there's a hilarious parody thread from 2011 at WeKnowMemes.com, spoofing the original "We're A Culture Not A Costume" concept.

Here is my submission, a Harvey Guess Who's Cuming For Dinner Weinstein Costume.
“What I remember about this incident is that my sous chef came into my office, furious, telling me that ‘some fat fuck' saying he's an owner—he didn't know the name—had come into the kitchen with a woman and shoved a $100 bill at him and told him to get out,” Armin Amiri told THR. Amiri—who has also worked as an actor, including in one film Weinstein produced—said the story got even more disgusting from there: “I went to check things out and saw Harvey soon after, fixing his belt, behind the bar. I never saw the woman. My chef and I go to the kitchen. He picks up a pot that had been placed back on the stove. It had been defiled. It was so bizarre. We couldn't believe it happened.”

I would advise all comrades to be very careful with the styling of your costumes, house decorations, and greeting cards. Pay special attention to what font you use.
