Soon to be President of USSA, Sen. Barack Obama today announced the selection of his National Defense Team.
Speaking at an address for the Center for New American Security, Sen Obama stated "Over the past 48 hours in conjunction with correspondence courses I completed this past summer, and after consulting with other known experts such as Sen John Murtha and Sen John Kerry, who also served in Viet Nam, I am pleased to name Winnie The Pooh as National Security Advisor. I believe Mr. Pooh has the "gravitas" and new ideas that we need today, following years of failed policy forced on this country by Bush."
Winnie the Pooh is known for his theory that if something you are doing keeps hurting yourself, then one should stop doing it. Mr. Pooh is also known to favor making friends with everyone so we can all just get along. It is also expected that Buzz Lightyear and Luke Skywalker will also be involved with the national defense.
There will also be an expansion of the ACLU and half way houses to deal with those maligned victims of oppression once they have been indicted, tried, and somehow convicted.
