Komrade Margaret, one should always read the fine print. In the case of this Newsweak cover, the fine print is terrifying.

But can President Pence get us out of this horrible recession we're all trying to survive?

This Newsweek cover was probably thought up by the same people who otherwise spend their days debating who would win in a battle between a massive armed dog and a squadron of tiny blue dinosaurs.

They better remember that Republicans can always call Ronald Reagan on a dinasaur for help.

If I may be serious...I know I'm Papa Kalashnikook, but if I may be serious for just one moment. Pence was our Governor here in flyover Indiana and a damn good one. Newsweeks hopes and dreams notwithstanding, Trump 2020!

I think the Democrats have taken liberties with the definition of 'recession'. Apparently it means massive economic growth, record high for the stock market, record low unemployment, rising wages and the return of manufacturing jobs. If only we had a socialist to save us from all of that..

As a connoisseur of government cheese, while I'm tempted to agree in concept, something in the phrasing makes me not want to shout this slogan at the next Party™ rally...
