If you have kids, or grandkids, or nephews and nieces, get them this beautiful picture book that is absolutely woke-free. It's a story about Fet the Donkey who wanted to make his friends happy and therefore he kept making well-meaning promises he couldn't fulfill - a child-friendly rendition of an economic lesson by Ludwig von Mises.
Young children may not be prepared to understand the effects of planning based on false promises like printing too much money or issuing subprime loans. But they can understand why, when Fet the Donkey promises his friends the wood he doesn't have, they end up shivering from cold in the winter.
The book was written by one of our authors (who prefers to remain anonymous). and illustrated by a young but very talented artist named Adelia, who also happens to be my niece.
Available on Amazon in English, and soon also in several other European languages.
