There are three holidays. Independence Day, celebrated annually on July 4, Thanksgiving (date varies with college football season) and the opening of deer season (date varies regionally).
Religious observances like Easter, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Ramadan are fun and important.

I saw this emerge in German media over a week ago but held back any posting about it until I was certain it wasn't some Nazi crap like the LGBT movement is.

Anyone who as ever served with Special Forces knows it's one of the hardest jobs any soldier can do. It's demanding, strenuous, dangerous and harrowing. You can pump out nearly a lifetime's worth of adrenalin in just a few missions. It take brains and balls and there's no room for bullshit, yet there almost always seems to be room for finding humor even in the worst situations.
Needless to say, this is going over like a lead condom. Here are just a few of the reactions:

Hopefully, this will be the last openly celebrated "Pride" Month in U.S. history. As previously stated in these blogs, the dedication of months to narrow advocacies is tiresome, often futile, and sometimes downright politicized and devisive.
It's time we take back our months and restore their status to "unaffiliated." June is over but the struggle is not.
