The People's Cube - Political Satire

Comrades, I'll keep this short because—like Cuba—I don't have enough energy right now to write a high-voltage shocker.


The island nation (excluding Guantanamo) has progressed floorward so hard that it's asking visitors to bring their own electricity, which brought this repurposed Soviet-era joke to mind:

CUBA TO USSR: We're starving for electricity, send us power plants.

USSR TO CUBA: You'll have to tighten your belts.

CUBA TO USSR: Send us belts.

Most Equally Esteemed Comrade Colonel,

Such joyous news from our comrades in Cuba!  Their Green New Deal is progressing flawlessly!  I am saddened that the USSA has veered off this progressive trajectory.  Many of the promises made in the Harris/Biden five year plan Green New Deal portion of their 2020 Campaign website remain unrealized.  My personal favorite was the promise to raise fossil fuel prices to $10/gallon through regulatory means and tax increases.  Sadly at the end of the Harris/Biden Administration the price of fuel at the pump was only just over double what it was when they were inaugurated in 2021. 

Cuba, the example we should follow!

Not certain whether he collected such jokes as much as heard them from a lot of former citizens of the U.S.S.R. As did I.
