Comrades, from the white smoke of the Sistine Chapel chimney a new Red Pope emerges, shrouded in a nimbus of red smoke and ready to continue the social justice policies of his liberation theologist predecessor.

This is great news for progressives everywhere, and a guarantee that the CCP will retain primacy over Roman Catholicism in China while the Church of Rome marches steadfastly forward on the path to the Glorious World of Next Tuesday!

He appears to be a 'never Trump' Republican. Could have been worse.

The jackalope’s got Pope of Serenity’s brother teaching Catholic Doctrine on immigration to President Trump while standing in his front yard to the news cameras. We ain’t never seen serenity like this Pope’s gonna bring, comrades.

“These are people.”

Total non sequitur. So many bad arguments are non sequiturs.

So the new American Pope isn't going to declare “Make Catholicism Great Again,” with official red hats available at the Vatican gift shop and online?

Well, the least he could do is offshore rosary production to Illinois and finally get some real economic output from spiritual labor. Also, move Sunday Mass to primetime. So many wishes, so little faith...

In God We Trust - terms and conditions apply (not available in California).

I like the hat. I heard it only comes in size XL, so Democrat Catholics who want to wear one don't have a prayer.
