It's a harmless prank we play on our neighbors in America.  You know how it goes; you plant some pink plastic flamingos in someone's yard during the night.  The next morning, your neighbor wakes up, looks out on their lawn, and says, "Dude, someone put some pink flamingos in my yard.  I think I'll go take a selfie and post it to social media for some good laughs."  In mere moments, the comments, guffaws, and laughing emojis come rolling in.

I don't know how this typically American practical joke came to the attention of the Ukrainians, but apparently Zelensky thought a few flamingos in Putin's yard would be a good way to brighten things up a little.  Who knows?  This could give Putin a good laugh and maybe thaw the relationship with Zelensky which has been a bit strained lately.

Well, we'll soon see if Putin has a sense of humor and can take a light hearted joke or not.

This may have all been a simple misunderstanding. Putin meant to write “Welcome” on his doormat, but somehow wrote “Incoming.” So Ukraine politely obliged - and delivered a Flamingo at Mach speed.

That's what happens when you leave a simple task to Medvedev.
