Newsflash Comrades...

In a stunning (snerk) reversal, Emperor Palpatine's nomination to the supreme court has been withdrawn.

Media pundits (an oxymoron, as the word 'pundit' comes from the Sanskrit word for wise man) are specu-flatulating that it was the Emperor's decision, and not that of his President. The foul-winded ones are gibbering that Emperor Mier's... ahem, sorry... Palpatine's decision to withdraw was based on his belief that his nomination was hurting his President, and causing divisiveness in the already beleaguered Empire. The Rebel Alliance has the Empire on the run. Senator 'Teddybear' Kennedy has suggested that nomination of a Wookie might go a long way to healing bipartisan wounds, but even most rebels see this as a blatant case of nepotism.

The Rebel are blaming Empire extremists for the failure and subsequent withdrawal of Palpatine's nomination, once again straining even The Force's ability to lend credence to their cause.

Must first ask, what constitutes cheating? Being big film geek who was 12 years old in 1977?.... no... is no insult... is description of self. Episode IV is one of films that made me want to be filmmaker... Character is Dr. Evazan from Cantina on Moss Eisley on Tatooine. Can't remember exact line and have films packed for move so can't check, but something to do with being sentenced to death in 12 different systems. If I remember it correctly (I haven't watched Episode IV in a while), his friend's name is Ponda Baba... And as it's Sunday of change from Daylight Savings Time and brain has not yet processed enough kava, I can't remember if it is Evezan or Baba who pulls the blaster... I can't even remember if Evezan is officially named in film, or is just character name given by Lucas... but that is name of character, and location...

Better question is, why must character be doktor? Is silly bragart alien thug in freak-bar (well... actually... should not say that as I am of Goth extraction - what else is there to do on Kanadjian Steppes as teenager?? - and some of my favourite cantinas are 'freak-bars')... who is criminal who supposedly escape 12 systems... smart? canny? self-preserving? No... idiot cannot even figure out who not to screw with... so, why... how... is character 'doktor'? One wonders how/why Lucas comes up with name.

That is correct. I find him to be Waxman's twin. Found him while looking through Star Wars characters who might look like liberals. Apparently the guy was a doctor who transplanted arms to legs etc. You can look him up at the Star Wars site. He is actually prettier than Waxman.

That said, please forward my winnings to Kommissar Betty, who has either been roofied at tavurna, or as she claims, has stapled her tongue to wall with staples that were coated with monkey extract (is new one on me... and I know comrades who have licked toads to catch buzz)... either way I am worried, and fear for her and, alas, as Kapitalists are f**king us over price of fuel and travel costs (SHOULD BE FREE!) have sky-rocketed, Ten PeoplesBucks will not possibly get me to wherever she is stapled to all the way from Kanada... ps... actually, upon review of picture, Evazan/Waxman reminds me of cousin Geraldo after brownshirt hit him in face with chair on Amerikan (and by default, Kanadjian) National TV... was not pretty, but family was much amused.
