Brilliant idea! What better than to create a bad situation from which people seek escape (high taxes) and then tax the very means of escape (comfort food and booze).
Truly, Dear Leader is a genius.
Of course the only lifestyle choice that won't be taxed is gay sex. Probably because homos never get venereal diseases STDs or HIV as a result of their wanton behavior.
