Comrades, this persecution of a child for his diverse religious beliefs is intolerable!

A student has been suspended from school in America for coming to class dressed as a pirate.
But the disciplinary action has provoked controversy – because thestudent says that the ban violates his rights, as the pirate costume ispart of his religion.
BryanKillian says that he follows the Pastafarian religion, and that as acrucial part of his faith, he must wear 'full pirate regalia' asprescribed in the holy texts of Pastafarianism.
The school, however, say that his pirate garb was disruptive.

What sort of narrow minded, unprogressive teachers would do this? Surely they must realize that diversity takes many forms, and many flavors; including pasta. What is next? Taking away prayer rugs? This oppression of spaghetti worshipers must stop!

Where are the gay rights protesters? Everyone knows Capt. Jack Swallow was totally gay. All the clues are there. The way he minced around the deck with his arms raised like a drag queen. The beads in his hair, the excessive piercings. His constant need to be staggering drunk. His eye liner. His flare for frills and lace. His manly crew of manly men. The "Jolly Roger" flag.

I mean, c'mon folks, it's that obvious.

I have long been a follower of this peaceful and progressive religion. The religious persecution committed by these narrow minded teachers should not be tolerated. Where is the A.C.L.U. when you need them?
