As of this writing two days have passed since the latest deadline set by the Swords of Righteousness Brigade, a previously unknown, never before heard of, "a complete cypher to Western News-media", Islamic Freedom-Fighter organization that just came right out of the woodwork in order to kidnap four men who just happen to be on the insurgency's side.
The Swords of Righteousness Brigade have stated they will kill all four members of the Christian Peacemaker Teams! unless all insurgency prisoners held by the West are released.
At first they stated emphatically that all four men would be killed on Thursday, the 8th of Dec., unless all the prisoners held by Western forces were released. Then, for unstated reasons they changed the deadline stating emphatically that the West had until the end of Saturday, the 10th of Dec. to release all prisoners held by Western forces or the four men would be killed. That deadline was reached two days ago. There is still no word on the fate of The CPT Four.
One of the hostages brothers expressed his despair over the situation. While praying and eagerly hoping that the West does the right thing and releases all the freedom-fighting insurgent prisoners held by the West so that his brother might go free and be able to continue helping The Swords of Righteousness Brigade and all like-minded oppressed Iraqis he related this anedote about his brother to

And this in the same article:James Loney's younger brother, Edward, remembers being puzzled at first by his older brother's activist path.
"The first book he gave me was called Rules for Radicals, by Saul Alinsky," said Edward, 37, standing in the snow outside his parents' home. "I was 17 and kind of like, 'What's this all about?' "

"From early on, James had a sense of God's work for him" said Father LaPierre, 46. But he emphasized that Mr. Loney's efforts in places like Iraq were motivated by a sense of social justice, not to advance a particular religion. "No matter what happens, he could never be called a martyr. He's just serving his purpose and it has risks. He knows that."
We all hope that Bush will have mercy on the souls of The CPT Four freedom-fighters and will finally release all the insurgent prisoners held by the West so that the Swords of Righteousness Brigade, a previously never before heard of insurgent group that came out of the woodwork solely to kidnap The CPT Four, can finally stop pushing back the deadline of their deaths and set them free.
