In an unannounced fashion, President Obama has taken us one step closer to removing those pesky, negative rights not enumerated in the Constitution, by superseding the Constitution itself.
As exposed by the evil Right-wing* website Threatswatch.org, Dear Leader has fixed Ronald Reagan's mistakes and amended Executive Order 12425.
It is obvious to us the mistakes in the original wording, and with the changes Dear Leader has made in the amended EO, fixes those mistakes. Nobody should be allowed to shield themselves with the "US" Constitution, and nobody should above the International Criminal Police Organization.
Now that this information has been outed in the kook-fringe, there will be many conspiracy theories going around, and we should be ready to debunk them. For everyones preparedness, I'll list a couple here that have already shown up in the kook-fringe.
Now reading this, many will think that Interpol will start arresting those who disagree with Islam or say anything bad about will be arrested. This couldn't be further from the truth. In truth, they will only arrest Christians, since they are radical, bigoted and hate-filled. Of course, the arrests won't come until the United Nations makes it illegal to criticize Islam, and that would never happen.
On another evil Right-wing website called NoisyRoom.net, more right-wing wackos blather on about:
Now Comrades, we can all see that this is just kook-fringe conspiracy talk, and we shouldn't need to bother addressing any of the outrageous claims made. Of course we have all the freedoms that Congress, the Supreme Court, and finally the President allow us to have, without those "negative rights" conveyed by that old piece of paper, the US Constitution.
And one last bit I found while attempting to stop this news from getting out:
This is the type of rhetoric that must be trivialized and kept on the right-wing kook-fringe and not allowed to get into the mainstream.
*Just remember, anything that doesn't agree with Obama must be right-wing kook-fringe and therefore evil.

I heard about this last Thursday (12/24) and is probably the most disturbing thing that this administration has done to date. The more I think about the implications this has ... it could be used to arrest US military for "war crimes", even if they were following orders. It also sets up the possibility to arrest Bush and Cheney for "war crimes", and good-ol' Barry can say he did nothing to arrest them.
It also makes me pause to think I should arm myself.

It grants INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) a new level of full diplomatic immunity afforded to foreign embassies and select other "International Organizations" as set forth in the United States International Organizations Immunities Act of 1945.
By removing language from President Reagan's 1983 Executive Order 12425, this international law enforcement body now operates - now operates - on American soil beyond the reach of our own top law enforcement arm, the FBI, and is immune from Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Property and assets of international organizations, wherever located and by whomsoever held, shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable. (Emphasis added.) Inviolable archives means INTERPOL records are beyond US citizens' Freedom of Information Act requests and from American legal or investigative discovery ("unless such immunity be expressly waived.")
Property and assets being immune from search and confiscation means precisely that. Wherever they may be in the United States. This could conceivably include human assets - Americans arrested on our soil by INTERPOL officers.

Their files are not subject to legal subpoena or discovery. Our government could just hand documents and files over to Interpol and Americans would no longer have access to them. Interpol can legally keep files now on all citizens of the US with no right to redress.
In reality, we have just handed over our sovereignty. Interpol headquarters in the US is currently headquartered in the Department of Justice. A ‘separate' Interpol agency has been created in the DOJ – let that sink in for a moment. Interpol has been granted diplomatic immunity now by Obama – they have exemption from being subject to search and seizure by law enforcement, US taxes and immunity from FOIA requests, etc. This action could also be used to divulge American military secrets and a whole host of horrific practices having to dowith going after our military. It's the road to internationalism on steroids.

Meanwhile, the next move from President Obama is likely an attempt to dissolve the agreements made between President Bush and other states preventing them from turning over American military forces to the ICC (via INTERPOL) for war crimes or any other prosecutions.
When the paths on the road map converge - Iraq withdrawal, Guantánamo closure, perceived American image improved internationally, and an empowered INTERPOL in the UnitedStates - it is probable that President Barack Obama will once again make America a signatory to the International Criminal Court. It will be a move that surrenders American sovereignty to an international body whose INTERPOL enforcement arm has already been elevated above the Constitution and American domestic law enforcement.
For an added and disturbing wrinkle, INTERPOL's central operations office in the United States is within our own Justice Department offices. They are American law enforcement officersworking under the aegis of INTERPOL within our own Justice Department. That they now operate with full diplomatic immunity and with "inviolable archives" from within our own buildings should send red flags soaring into the clouds.
