Let me take off my funny hat for a second...
[OFF]
That black woman "Velma the plumber" who stood up to Obama is making the rounds on TV. She's still a koolaid drinker. She says she voted for "change" and where's the change? My question to her is "What change did you want or expect?"
She's a moderately wealthy CEO of a charity that helps vets. She has two kids she's sending to private school. Under Bush and even Clinton unemployment was 6%. People were making investments, buying homes and cars, factories were hiring. Middle class folks were starting companies that they hoped would grow. None of that was good enough for her. She wanted change.
I submit to her that her idea of change was punishing her vision of the filthy rich. But who exactly are the rich folks she envied and hated? They aren't Republicans, they're Democrats. People like the Hollywood celebs and political elite. People like George Soros. People who made tens of millions and even billions of dollars doing nothing, providing no tangible service to anyone.
Well now honey, you got your change. The filthy rich folks you thought you hated are doing just fine. It's you and all the upper middle class folks who are suffering. That's the change Obama had in mind. To break the backs of the up and coming bourgeois. To "level the playing field" of society into two camps, the ruling elite and serfs, with nobody in the middle. You're either born into the ruling class or you're not. No way to jump the gap that separates them.
And the silly woman still doesn't get it. She still wants "change" but Obama hasn't delivered her vague brand of change as she sees it. Even after Obama is gone this woman and those like her will still dream of and agitate for change. She hasn't learned shit about what the Left means when it promises change. The change she got now is the only kind of change they have to offer.
Oh and to answer Velma's concerns Obama ticked off a list of “accomplishments” that included taxpayer money to pay tuitions and health care reform. None of which puts any food on the table of the middle class and in fact ends up costing us money we don't even have. Yet Velma says she was satisfied with his response. So she's hardly a hero in my eyes, just another dupe with buyer's remorse who is ready to buy more rotten tripe if only because the butcher is black and articulate.
O-bam-a, O-bam-a, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm!
